With a reactor you can upgrade you supply pads, 6 heavy supply pads beats 7 standard supply pads. You can upgrade you elephant to improve its strength/durability, and my favorite you now have access to Spartans with which you can garrison your elephant or add to your army.

if you were going to build the elephant u would have shaved off a few seconds by planting ur elephant near the enemy base then building the marines then move the elephant closer. OR simply just make a barracks make a medium size group (like ur 13 squads), like u did with ur elephant, then when u send the group just make some more and have them walk, if they constantly build itll feel like theres an elephant but u wont waste 400 resources on elephant ------ <3 cutter.

hay im a really big halo fan but i tried this strategy on auto lvl 71 and the scarab 3 wraiths and 1 brute killed me when i had 20 elepahnts its a good strategy but there is no reason to rush its better if u use them to defend key areas in 3 s or 4 s and to have them fully upgraded good advice honest

I usually move my elephant on the edge of the elephant's attack radius and have it chip at the base as soon as I have my first elephant while I train Marines/Flamethrowers/Spartans (Marines on base) Flamethrowers on Infantry/ any enemy unit and spartans on base and move back and forth. Then just make a few more elephants and upgrade marines. Enemy dead in like 10mins usually. Just my strat though.

Pathetic strategy....IF this was a 3vs3, the other 2 players would just attacked your poorly, or even defenseless base and give the person your attacking 500 resources to just make a new base. Pretty much waste of time, and you should have some counter units always. even atleast 2-5 marines staying at your base.

I do a elephant to defeat others but i do it in an and faster way.

1. Make an elephant

2. make 4 supply pads

3. search for crates

4. get a reactor, barracks, then another separate reactor.

5. upgrade all supply pads and get new blood in the barracks and twin engine

6. make another elephant and get the rpg ability for the marines.

it should be 6:30 or 7:00 by that time and then get your two elephant and park them near the enemy base, then spawn 13 marines in each elephant. 95% you will win

marines are good because the upgrades are just good like rockets increase damage with special and new blood gives them more health and a medic replenishes health oviously ODST is quick deploment but you need Captain Cutter as leader.

Heroic isn't hard to beat in 1v1, if your technic works against legendary, it's a quite good technic, otherwise there isn't any interest.

More like lamest rush, at 2:15 you can counter this rush with warthog gunners, and a spartan to hijack the elephant. I did it exactly like that and the opponent resigned.

I'm sorry to break it to you, but this isn't really a great strategy. No matter what, If the covenant put up a shield and supply depots, they can just mass-produce honor guards, suicide grunts, or brutes, all of which are devastating to infantry. I'm surprised it actually worked.

Good Video, you walked it through well. However this strategy is terrible. I mean, I am sure it works fine when vs a comp. But that kind of commitment to a rush is not smart. All they need to do is a early scout, see that all your building is supply centers and then your screwed. Mass supply centers = Rush. If your going to rush, at least be able to adapt to what they are doing. Reminder: All RTS strats fall from the same concept. Rock, Paper, Scissors. Your committing to Rock.

I was thinking about it. One way you could use it is to not rush their base. Instead of using the elephant rush to attack, use it to expand. Once you get that next base, try the rush. That way, your not screwed if something does not go the way you wanted. Now at least, because your committing to Rock (Infantry), if they see it coming, they will go Paper (Vehicles), where you can then go Scissors (Air). The only way I can see this working on a competitive scale.
