teamviewer is easier faster and more reliable. plus you don't have to be connected with the same network.

When I first tried, it didn't work, then I wondered if the MAC firewall was stopping it. Turned it off, and yep logged in no problem. Turned the firewall back on while logged in and it works a treat.. :)

change the 10.0.0.2 to whatever its supposed to be, and if its not 3 digits each between the decimals, try padding it with leading zeros.

for example  123.456.789 WRONG the right way 123.456.7.89 correct ..

it means you don't have an IP address assigned to your computer. It's asking you to configure the ip address.

It can be done from a remote location but you would need to know the public IP address of your computer and you would need to bypass the firewall
