i have been watching basesball as a huge yankee fan since 1995...i have seen all their great dynasty moments and have even been there for a few...but i have to say without a a doubt i have never seen yankee stadium louder or crazier then for the final out and celebration of the 1996 world series...it was amazing...no one thought they were going to win that world series everyone laughed at them in comparison to atlanta but they came back and won probably the coolest world series ever

i wish i couldve been 14 then and not now. dont actually remember seeing the yanks win a world series cuz i didnt start paying attention till jeters great play in 01 against the A's. the stadium will never get ouder then tinos grand slam in game 1 in 98

I remember that game too. I was there in '96 for game six. Camped out 24 hours in line for tix. I'll never forget it as long as I live. That was a great team, a great game and a great championship.

dont give a thumbs down on that people he's right...The only reason Varitek is still playing is because he is a smart catcher and is a good defensive catcher. Jorge is a better hitter and decent as a catcher. Im a Yankee fan but its just what the statistics show.
