Jacquard Products specifically recommends NOT using the Pearl Ex in make-up applications. Their explanation: PearlEx is manufactured as an art material in an production environment much different than that used in the manufacture of cosmetics. It has not been approved for use as a cosmetic by the organizations responsible for testing that classification of product.
Pearl Ex IS non-toxic in applications for which it is approved - as an art material.

craft supplies are so awesome :) I use Pearl Ex as eyeshadow all the time with no problems but I wouldn't suggest it for anyone else. Some goofy goober will get it in their eye and then sue my knickers off!
