"Cartoon" connotes American bullshit like Marvel and Disney, whereas "anime" connotes (and in general, IS) much more well-done animation of Japanese origin. However, one so-called anime I refuse to refer to as such is Bobobo-whatever-it's-called. The name alone is grounds for exclusion from the category of anime >_< It's more like... I dunno, retard-ime? @swordsaver Nintendo published it, they didn't make it. The same thing with Kirby, Legend of Zelda, and Pokemon (and probably many others). If only they would advertise their less played games. All they do is advertise their best selling game, Mario. God, Mario enough. It would make more sense if they advertised there least played games. BTW, guess how they named the Smash Bros. Series..... Funny thing is, nobody plays as Mario or Luigi, mostly just FE, Pokemon, Kirby Characters.

I've said it before. I really wish that they continued this. To me, Shadow Dragon had a rather bland story, and seeing it acted out adds a bit of flair to it. While the English dub was sub-par, I've definitely seen worse. If the OVA was dubbed now, I'm sure they would have done a better job.
