(Sorry for writing in English, but I can't write/speak Russian or the local languages) I would really like to visit these places, because they are so exotic to me. I come from a small island in the eastern Atlantic, and have never been more than 4 hours drive from the Atlantic. I wonder how I would feel in the vast open plains of north Asia, with lakes and rivers, but no ocean, but with people who don't have the Western European blinkers on, and really know how to be self-sufficient. Love, Mark
I am wanting to learn the Tuvan language and am searching for native speakers. Is this narrator speaking Tuvan? I am an Australian and dearly wish to visit Tuva in 2010. I've found the Tuvan language learning program on BYKI but nowhere else ...
they are russians living in Tuva. In gener, Tuva and Kirgiz are the mongols. They know it very well. Kirgis -in mongolian means much forest. Kirgiz is name for lake in Mongolia. Kirgiz people are originally from region around Kirgis lake in Mongolia
This family left the city to go to Taiga area in Tuva. She's 30 but has 8 kids, because they people there give birth to as many kids as God gives. The only thing they buy is wheat, butter, and sugar. They rest they make themselves. They are also Old Believers. They had times when they had almost no food. They wish that their kids will also see the beauty of the world around them. Communists tried to stop people from living their traditional lives. Shaman rituals were secretly kept
Also might mention that shamans are quite universally alike. These people are very similar, it seems to me,to the native peoples of the Americas.Because of the narrowness of the Bering Sea separating the continents,I would not be surprised to find they are genetically related as well as culturally.
