  • favorite band ever.

  • 1:57 cool detail indeed .-)

  • The thing I hate the most about most 80's rock and metal is how unimpressive the bassists were. This isn't an easy song to play, but the dude nails it. There are like zero other WASP songs where there is a notable bassline. No disrespect to WASP or any other 80's metal group, but all the good bassists were either in thrash bands or Billy Sheehan.

  • Watching and listening to this makes me depressed that i wasnt born in the late 60's.

  • Another great cover by Blackie and the boys! Check out their versions of Purple's "Burn", Tull's "Locomotive Breath", Heap's "Easy Livin" and others. The most underrated hard rock/metal band ever!

  • Awesome video, great cover of the Who classic. Drums in the WASP version are incredible.

  • WASP's version takes The Who's to another level yet it maintains the energy from the The Who's version.

This is an absolute masterpiece of a cover song, by far, one of the best ones I've ever heard in my Metal life.

  • @horrorscope7 1270 HERE HERE!!!!

  • Granted I was born in 1973, but I still believe this version has The Whos original beaten by lightyears! I love The Whos version... but this is just Legend..wait for it.... .... dary!!!!

  • JUST KICK ASS METAL ......LOVE THEM.........BLACKEE AND THE BOYS ROCK....STILLL.....

  • Frankie should've stayed in this band instead of leaving it to take a shot with Heavy Bones. Bad move.

  • @AngryAgain No fucking shit..."Heavy Bones" ??!!!

  • @SpikeMichaels I suspect he was paid some meager salary in WASP wheras Heavy Bones was a band he'd have more control over and see a greater share of the money if there was any,

  • Frankie Banali rocked the fucking drums on this tune.

  • They do the song justice.

  • Johnny Rod and Frankie Banali were great in the Wasp line-up

  • Great song! Probably their best song ever!

  • Check out Blackie's shirt. Yes he is a OAKLAND RAIDERS FAN!!!!!

  • Blackie is now a wobbly nigga!

  • franki is such a good drummer, so solid on here, and super playing

  • Isn't that the drummer from Quiet Riot?

  • Not bad, not bad. Actually it's pretty damn good!

  • written by the Who. Great!

  • My uncle got me into wasp.I was just 10 when i started listening to them...good times

  • I'ts "paving stones" not "pavement stones". They got the lyric wrong.

  • @Enigma758 maybe cos the yanks only know of a sidewalk?

  • @FDGRebel Very possibly, or they could be nearly deaf by now so can't make out the lyrics correctly.

  • Ya'll got neither couth nor culture.

  • Interesting track , bold , daring , while I don't ever see myself doing anything like this , I'm still compelled to barrow your voice steve

my name is steve too , so I know you won't be upset if I very lovingly barrow it

    with your permission of course.

lots of fakers out there blackie , I always roast them when they screw up your material.

  • Hey, whats the matter with you?

    Bitch, you don't wanna know

  • sempre grandi.......in tutti questi anni!!!!! grazie W.A.S.P:

  • Bands like this kept me alive when I wanted to leave this shitty world...and ever since then life's been worth living BECAUSE of it.

  • happy birthday blackie!

  • this is what happen to me every month! creepy fuckers!

  • What an explosive beginning to the guitar

  • Frankie was just incredible on the drums on this song.

  • GOD.....WHAT AN AWFUL BASS PLAYER!!!!!

  • @wolfkarel are you actually messin?

  • @kaindave um......NO!

  • @wolfkarel you know nothing about the original song.

  • @lexmarks567 Really? I've been playing it on the bass for nearly 30 years......so I do know a bit.

  • @kaindave have you ever listened to the original? probably not then you probably wouldnt understand why the bass is played like that ugh

  • Blackie ♥♥♥♥

    Johnny ♥♥♥♥

    W.A.S.P.!! ♥♥♥♥

  • apparently pete townsend said this is better than the original

  • Fuckin awesome!! This is the Blackie I remember.

  • " simpley.... HOT " !!

  • fucking song hahaha !

  • This was the first song/video that I had ever heard from W.A.S.P. and it got me hooked

  • ONE BEST COVERS IVE EVER HEARD

  • This came out just after I got dumped. Age 17 and she lived in a yellow house. No joke.

  • 1 person can't see the real me!

  • can you see the fucking awesome they are?

  • grandioso wasp es wasp !

  • their best shit they really klicked then

  • Lacks the intensity and desperation of the original. But I still dig it!

  • Wanky Anglo Saxon Persons

  • the bass line on this song is awesome.. cant hear much in here but hey awesome song !!

  • The kid in the video look's mental.Great song.First class drumming on this song/album.

  • @motley123rock The drummer was Frankie Banali from Quiet Riot. But, he found his groove with W.A.S.P.

  • BLACKIE <3

  • fucking great song ! I think this is better than original version

  • In an older interveiw ,about 2003,from what i read,it sounded like Blackie gave Pete Townsend the gold disc he received for this song to him.Good version!;)

  • petri nygard was and likes this video (:

  • Frankie Benelli is the best drummer in the world LONG LIVE W.A.S.P

  • Nikki Sixx references Blackie as "a big mean intimidating bastard", who Nikki was actually afraid of, in the Crue biography "The Dirt". Now, Nikki is a big intimidating dude himself.....and he was scared of Blackie? Wow.....Blackie is the fucking man! Hey now, bitches!!!!!

  • @jdevassy1 Why would ANYONE be intimidated by Blackie Lawless?! Well.....you were talking about Nikki Sixx........he's a pansy ass shmooz anyway.

  • a versao original e do the who?

  • @95lipe Exatamente, do Filme Quadrophenia !

  • @Deroleary not too small either

  • this version destroys the original,no way!!!

  • f!ck yeah B!tc#es!

  • W.A.S.P. is definitely one of the most good-inspiring bands of all time. This is the type of music which can help teens develop a sense of self when their social structure calls for their identity to be covered by black dominus like the nuns or the cowardly reaper. I will always credit the who and wasp with helping myself preserve the real me. MWJ

  • Hellions check out blackie lawless facebook fanpage , 42,100 hellions,, for updates and meet other fans...

  • Outfreakingstanding

  • this version is so faithful to the original... so good!!! as a big fan of The Who, I have to say that this is a great great great version!!

    The Who hair metal!!!

  • @thesantoshow93 on the inlay card for this CD Blackie has a note hoping that he did this song as close as orginal as he could. He did. This is one of the best covers I've heard.

  • @thesantoshow93 It's not hair metal dammit lol

  • Even Pete's entitled to being wrong now and again.

Kind of an overblown response to a matter of musical of taste, the gene pool thing? But then again, overblown seems to be your style in other areas as well. To each his own.

  • one thing I dont like about this video, is the heavy metal drumming. Theres no personality behind it.

  • @MusicIsDeadToday

What the hell are you talking about? There is plenty of personality in the drumming. In fact, there's plenty of personality and power in this band. If you don't like heavy metal, that's your problem but don't you ever insult it. You can't just condemn something because you don't understand it. Human ego is a terrible thing.

  • @TheSilentCreature Let's compare drummers. Watch Keith Moon of The Who, and compare it with this drummer. I bet you don't even know who originally wrote this song. I wasn't talking about the whole band either you moron.

  • I guess this is an instructional video on how to make a caricature out of a timeless rock classic. Hair bands make me laugh. Oh well, I listened to it all the way through.

  • @agilblom

Even Mr. Townsend thinks THIS version is superior to the original. W.A.S.P. are NOT a "hair band." Please remove yourself from the gene pool at once, the rest of us would be much better off.

  • what is the song at the beggining ?

  • @okornyalbaro HEADLESS cHILDREN ALSO BY wasp

  • @okornyalbaro i guess is hellion, from the first cd

  • Great cover of The Who. Frankie Banali is great.

  • az az egynek akinek nem tetszik az szerintem buzi köcsög vagy mszp-és párttag

  • @Deroleary WASP were never underdogs. They weren't big rock stars, that's all. They were very successful in many countries outside America.

  • why do 80's hairbands always replay the good songs?

  • @doughnutboy99 well its simple, cause they are good xD

  • @radenbg i guess that makes sense

  • I fucked my English teacher to this song, back in 89! Metel rules!!!

  • @necroasfuk I didn't have time to look up his name, but I'm pretty sure he was in "Crybaby" with Johnny Depp and Traci Lords, and was also the character Ed from Northern Exposure.

  • @OldSquierStrat Darren E. Burrows

  • Oh.......They made it all 80s...

  • The Who version of this is a big piece of why I play bass now; this is a fabulous song.

  • The Who version of this is a big piece of why I play bass now; this is a fabulous song.

  • The best W.A.S.P line-up in my opinion,I want a bass like Johnny Rod`s B.C Rich

  • WASP, Armored Saint, and Agent Steel are the three best heavy metal bands of the 80s. (thrash is thrash, btw, so i'm not counting that)

  • Blackie is so sexy !!! I love his big hair :D :D

  • W.A.S.P. did make it big

THEY ARE THE KINGS OF GLAM METAL LETS US ALL GATHER AROUND AND BE THANKFUL TO THESE GUYS BLACKIE LAWLESS, CHRIS HOLMES TOGETHER WITH RANDY PIPER MAKE A BADASS DUEL GUITARIST AND STEVE RILEY DRUMMER

  • 1:11 <3

  • if you're gonna cover a song it better be this good or don't waste your time. wasp always nail the covers they've done!

  • @mrdreamwhip For Blackie this was a personal task. I like this version better than Pete Townsend's orginal.

  • Great song. Never seen the Who's, but I love the song here. turn it up.

  • The who are better, but i like it!

  • @CecaX94 nothing is better than W.A.S.P. kings of glam metal

  • Cool video, great cover.I like the double bass drum that Frankie Banali throws in at the end.

  • I think this is in no way a down to the who but wasp naild it,but still love the whos version

  • No disrespect meant to Daltry, but Blackie Lawless puts him to shame on this.

  • We Are Sexually Perverted

  • @wildmanchris200 actually, that's what tipper gore thinks. the real meaning of wasp is hidden. :o

  • Hardcore down and dirty rock and roll..... Great cover!!! I wish my voice had the vibrato of Blackie Lawless

  • Johnny is back in King Kobra!!!!!!!!!

  • this version blows away the original wasp rulz yo

  • Best album they ever put out! No crap antics just straight out hard rock with real messages and true intelligence.

  • Thank you so much for the music video to this song. Haven't seen it before now.

  • Whatever happened to Johnny Rod?

  • who cares!! He looked and acted like a right twat on the 89 and headless tour.

  • GO BLACKIE!!!

  • fuck ya

  • Frankie Banali, one of the all-time most underrated drummers, played on this album. He had everything to do with the much heavier sound on this album. Fantastic album. Get "First Blood, Last Cuts" if you can find it. Awesome from start to finish.

  • First blood has a fantastic sound. I have it in LP version and it`s one of my greatest adquisitions.

  • Plus, Frankie is a Hell of a cool guy.

I've bullshitted with him more than a few times and he's always a nice guy.

Not only is Banali (IMO) the most talented of the drummers to have played in WASP but also one of the most genuine, down to Earth rockstars I've ever met.

Hey, he hooked me up with WASP, Killer Kane, and Circus Circus demos.

Yep, he's a damn cool guy!

    :D

  • Unfortunately for me, i have bought tickets to see this band live 5 times, and they have always found a way to cancel the dates that I have. Headless Children is still one of my favorite albums.

  • arrgh wasp rule metal ! glasgow tour december

  • Heavy Masters

  • w8 a second blackies on guitar not bass???? wtf

  • yehh he swapped 4 like an album or sumfin,

  • He knows play both

  • Someone posted a Top 10 voices in metal video and i urge you...if you dare to watch it, proceed with caution. I suggest wait for buffer to complete then scroll through to see who's on list because it is pretty bad, and there's NO BLACKIE?!?!?!

  • Excellent cover.
