as far as my experience goes with snooker tables yes this shot is possible to make as long as the object ball is not frozen to the rail. If frozen the ball will bounce out. and for you who say you can do it on a snooker with a regular size ball i say BET.
coming from a snooker player, this shot has been done by me and others i have seen on a snooker table also, its obviously a little harder so maybe a few more attemps, but its possible.. nice shooting on this pool table.
@shakercoola If someone wanted to bet that they could make a 91-degree cut (cue ball on brown spot, red frozen to the center of the top cushion) within 10 tries on a regulation snooker table, would you bet against?
@Bob95051 Paul Newman said in a 1986 interview that Scorsese met with real life hustlers in gathering information on the film. One gentleman said, "The best in the world will never be known and seen. They avoid all spotlight. You will only know when you or someone you know have been taken. The legendary will even disguise themselves." With that said, I agree with Bob. Do not bet against an improbable shot. After all, that is how some make their money.
@Bob95051 I did. In a very humid table, it's a little masse basically that reduces the angle of incidence, this is not new thing, even in this pool shot, when the cue ball gets there is not 100 degrees anymore. There is a game called Cuban Chicago, in pool. It's played with the balls in the rails, so everything is rail shots or bank shots. I love snooker, don't get me wrong, but you have to take into consideration that is a totally different animal, or you want to say it's harder than Carom too
@shakercoola look, i m already sick of ppl saying pool is soo easy, try playing snooker... if its so easy for you, go win the world pool champoship and see how easy it really is. if you re not gonna do that then shut the fuck up
@darkjedi327 I am sorry to hear you feel unwell about a game of pool. Get better soon. My point, which I'm entitled to make is that pool has its merits but for the purists there is an almost unanimity by snooker players that pool is inferior and does not constitute a sport. Aim at a compass point and it will go in. I don't need to be the best to pass comment.
@shakercoola First of all, yes, this shot is possible on a snooker table. Secondly, this isn't snooker, it's pool. I don't know why people like you try to make this comparison.
@shakercoola It's pretty obvious that you've never performed this shot. It is so possible, that you could even make the shot with a full sized pool ball into a snooker pocket.
@shakercoola ummm im pretty damn sure that this is possible on a snooker table as well... its still a type of billards game the same rules apply. There goes that snobby snooker attitude again.
try that on a snooker table :))

Why didnt you play it to the bottom right pocket???
AntonioMendestratra 2 months ago
@AntonioMendestratra Because I wasn't playing a game that allowed a shot to that pocket.
Bob95051 2 months ago

not a cut

@morgan2211 True, it's actually a rail-first shot. It just looks like a cut shot to the uninformed.

As a pool player, I respect snooker. I just don't get why Snooker vs. Pool people need to go around in pool videos instigating.

The point is, it is possible on those kinds of pool tables with bucket pockets; but never in a million years is it possible on a snooker table!

@colomblanco It is most certainly not possible! The pocket is like a bucket. Giveover.

@shakercoola theyre different games, whether it goes or not on a snooker table is an irrelevant point. you are obviously stupid.

@RayHusted come on, you know that if you hit the jaw of the pocket it won't go in. It's not snobbery. I love pool. It's just fact that's all.
