Jerry, I'm taking the wife and kids to Holguin on the 10 of October. Any idea if there is a cigar factory in or near Holguin? I heard there might be.
Nope. There is no direct postage or trade between Cuba and the US. There is this little thing called "The Embargo". They don't even accept credit cards issued by US banks. Best bet is to ship from Mexico, but even there they inspect everything going to the US and will not ship anything Hecho En Cuba.
Before I left the factory I was approached by a guy who shoved a card with his phone number and asked me what boxes I would like. I didn't take him up on his offer as I had too many cigars as it was.
No need to bribe. As I walked around the factory every so often a roller would stuff a handful of cigars into my palm and whatever loose change I had was enough payment.
Awsome video, thx. My friend just brought me bacl a box of Lucitania's from Partagas for $300.00 Canadian . I will take the cohiba's for 300 next time. Were these Robusto's?
The Factory is known as the Partagas factory. A number of brands are made there including Cohiba, Montecristo, Partagas and a couple of others. The factory is in Old Havana.

it's silly that you guys are so near cuba and yet cannot truly enjoy the cuban cigar without restrictions.

Do they have UPS or FedEx in Cuba? Wouldn't it be simple to just box the cigars up and mail them to yourself?

@jerryg58 I wish they would lift the embargo. I'd be happy to try out a Cuban Stogie.

Is it possible to bribe a factory manager and work out a sweet deal for a few boxes?
