I know some people might find that a bit pretentious but really there is just so much awesome music out there, it's like an insult to listen to shit like Justin Bleber and most mainstream (although some is ok). We all share our music tastes and most of the time we corroborate. Try and enlighten your friends, you might be pleasantly surprised....
