its not a scam, its just a bit shady and misunderstood. Its a legitimate site, they will ship the items. Its basically gambling. You also have to spend money to save money. bottom line, its not a scam.
A Good tip:When your bidding for somthing dont keep on placeing bids. Reson: Bids cost 50p inless you've got A 300 Bid card, anyway if you keep bidding you'll have to pay lot's so wait till the end
you have really got al these things completely figured out. thanks alot for your advice i will gather data before i bid, i want a nintendo wii so i will gather some data of the average buying (bidding) price you can get it for on swoopo.
Winning on SWOOPO is all about not wasting your bids so the average consumer is getting sucked dry, thinking that they can keep bidding because there are 6 seconds left, when in reality someone else is looking at 12 seconds, and SWOOPO blames it on internet lag.
wait so is ebay the same like you place a bid and if you dont win the auction the bidding money you put in is lost or you still keep your money that you use to bid.
Ebay is free to bid on, you don't have to pay for bids whereas on Swoopo, you have to pay for each bid, and this is how you get the items at dirt cheap prices.
Yup, strategy is the key to win bids on Swoopo. I won a Nintendo DS last night for $30 by studying the statistics on how people bid and when people bid. I backtracked about 2 weeks of data to do it. Around 20% of all the normal DS Auctions (no nailbiters) sold for under $30 and most of them were at 8pm. I won my auction at 9pm.
Also, I developed a nice strategy that involves bidding once all the other bidders become paranoid of losing their bids :)
nice post man i just joined swoopo im not gonna bid on anything for a while tho i wanna scope out everything first im gonna use your advice and hopefully i can get a good deal on a ps3
I have won, it is real. I won 8 auctions in my first month. I promise you that there is a method. Unfortunately this is not the correct method. The prices constantly fluctuate. Everyone is stuck over thinking this concept, think outside your box and you may get it. Good Luck!!!
4:15 easier way to do this is add the item to your watch list and then look for future auctions of the same item add them all to your watchlist about 20 or 30 of them see the average price they are selling for and set your bid butler on that range use about 50 bids = £25 if you win a tv or something worth £1200 for about £200 then its well worth it.
I agree with you that, really, there's no reason Swoopo would 'need' to deceive anyone. Even though they may claim they lose money in 70% or so of their auctions, they make so much on certain high dollar items and their own currency, Bids, that they are very profitable. But, other than very few and questionable posts, I don't see where many people talk about their winnings. If I were to win, you better believe I'd be telling everyone I know and posting about it online.
Swoopo doesn't need to scam anyone. They make all their money from the bids.
,
For example, if they sell a HDTV worth $1500 in stores; but Swoopo sells the HDTV for $205.14 they still make a huge profit. For example, HDTVs are classed in penny auctions which means every bid raises the price by 1 cent instead of 15 cents.
If they sell the HDTV for $205.14 that means there were 20514 bids placed. They still have made at least $15,000 from the bids itself because each bid costs 75 cents. :)
I would love to do that, the only issue with that is that I can only upload a video that has a max length of 10 mins. I cannot be sure how long the auction will last. Its very hard to predict when the auction will end!
so it really does work. i suggest that you waste your money or not really waste it, but spend it on bidding on free bids. that way you will have some to go to for when ever you want
Where it may sound like a good idea to start bidding on free bid packs, I would rather target smaller items when you are first starting off, in order to get your feet wet, its easier to win those than to win bid packs.
If you do decide to bid on the bid packs, make sure you use the Swoopo strategy that I have mentioned in the video in order to gauge when is the best time to bid.

So in American money 0.75 to add 0.15 to the bid and then you have to pay the bid price?
ShakingAtTheKnees 2 years ago
yes...thats right
aientrp 2 years ago
You have to buy bid packs before you start bidding. Think of it like tokens for an arcade game.
aientrp 2 years ago
if you lose an auction do you still pay for the bids you placed?
DarkFire346 2 years ago
yes you do

Excellent vid, you are totally right. With Swoopo you need patience.

ON EBAY YOU DO NOT GET CHARGED FOR EACH BID nor do you in any proper auction
greyglee 2 years ago
yes, but then you have to pay near to full price on the item, where as on Swoopo you can snap up a WII for £5 if you are lucky, happens all the time.
aientrp 2 years ago
when u bid nd u dont win do u still have to pay?
jjaja51 2 years ago
Yes you do, thats the whole idea, everyones wasted bids help the end winner get the item for cheap.

Theres a whole auction just for beginer bidders and should i go for these cool speakers or a 20 bid voucher.
rustyspoon716 2 years ago
oo i get it now so the catch is that you pay 75 cents a bid?
blue7elf 2 years ago
Yes, thats right.
Thats where Swoopo make their money and can afford to let the stuff go so cheap.

Why would you want to contact Swoopo?
Also, email is the most easiest way to communicate these days. Instant and free :)

great video, although I have a question. If you place a bid and fail to win the item, do you still have to pay the bidding fee?
jackfranzen 2 years ago
Yes you do...that how Swoopo make their money.

ok so let me get this straight
the wii is like 20bucks in the end, and 40 of my bids were placed on it. so i multiply 40 by .75 and add it to 20bucks and add the shipping?
also if i bid on a tv 3 times and lose the tv do i still owe 2.25$?
if anyone could help me i would really appreaciate it!!!!!
thekidc123 3 years ago
Thats right, you will still owe for any lost bids. Becuase it was your decision to bid.
The key to to watch a few auctions first and then start bidding.
Let everyone else get exhausted first and then you jump in.
Best of luck
Ps : Let us know how you get on :)

Dont be deceived by the low prices, Swoopo are not being Santa here, they are making an absolute killing on cetain auctions.

hi, is it the public selling, or just the people on the website?
freshprincemusic 3 years ago
Hi,
All the auctions are run by Swoopo themselves. Public can't sell their stuff on their website as of yet.
Thanks

My question is: have you personally actually won anything? If so, could you show us a video of you winning, perhaps?
