When I was a student and someone tried to clamp my 2cv, I unbolted the front wing and drove home. The soft suspension soaked up the bumps and the wheel clamp fell off after about a mile. I am totally with this driver. To hell with the system!
little known fact. if you can remove a wheel clamp without damaging it you are indeed allowed too.
another thing is the clampers are not allowed to damage your car, not even a scratch of dent, when putting on a clamp. a mate got an alloy wheel replaced after a clamper scratched the hell out of his, and also avoided the fine. (he was happy to pay the fine, after all he was illegaly parked)

I don't blame her, last time I had a clamp on my car I got it towed away by a friend who also removed the clamp for me. But I wouldn't drive my car with it still on, could cause sparks and ignite the rubber tires or even worse, it could just wreck the car altogether.
