  • Very nice interpretation. You captured the essence of the original, added elements of the Live in Mexico version, yet at the same time made it your own. Nice tone as well. Looking forward to any future posts.

  • i love listenin to your covers of santana charlie. i think they're great and you sound just like santana. i play santana myself, but don't quite have the skill to play like you yet. which is the pod your using in your covers? i'm thinking of getting the same one. if i can afford it.

  • Hello, BTCharlie, extraordinary your interpretation of this Samba Pati's so wonderful song. I the empece to listening in the year 1978. I have touched it once with one friend in a concert of the college. We go out for the scene(stage) and the whole people applauding. I towards the comparison and my friend the accompaniment. Your version is of distinction. A saludo. - Luis (Spain)

    Keep playing

  • What a beautiful version...

  • Think I googled it...is it the "play guitar with Santana" CD by chance?

  • Thanks to everyone for their nice comments. 'Play Guitar with Santana' is very good. You can also get good backing tracks from the CDs you get with guitarist magazines such as 'GUITARIST' and 'GUITAR TECHNIQUES' (UK). It's also possible to make your own using MIDI files you can find free on the Net.

    >The guitar is a Gibson 335, which I would definitely recommend.

  • Very nice. I have the same question as mmoos1, how do you do this? (One of the posts mentioned a DVD?) Ive been wanting to get a 335...what are you using?

  • Outstanding song selection, execution, and tone.

I'm a long-time Santana soloist but new to this techonology - where/how did you obtain your backing tracks?

Thanks for posting your music; very motivational

  • Hey, a big thanks for all your nice comments, glad you enjoyed it. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

  • now, the question is, can you do it standing on your haed? That is the question.

  • lmfao. yes. tis indeed the question

  • Beautiful rendition. Nothing more needs to be said. :)

  • I'm not saying your better than Santana, but that version was fenomenal! I'm a self thought guitar player and if I ever get you your level, that's it for me. I can retire...

  • You are a fantastic guitar player, keep it up!!. I look forward to watching more of you, thanks

  • how do i get that background music? samba pa ti without the guitar in it? please help
