"Bridie Balls" are okay, but they dont always react the same way a ball does. For instance, yesterday i was hitting BBs and they were slicing. Did the same swing for a real ball and it went straight as an arrow.
@robodoboman Awsome. I actually went to lowes and got some wood and green outdoor carpet and ordered a rubber tee an made my own driving mat. Pretty nice set up and only cost 5 dollars. 10 dollars a bucket for my nearest driving range.
No, they are solid core balls with CO2 inside that create bounce. As a result, they can be a fraction of the weight of a real golf ball, so you can hit them and catch them without danger. I recommend them highly.
I would start with maybe 3-36 ball boxes. That's just over 100 balls. That should give you enough balls to hit for a while. You will loose a few every so often, but it still beats having to truck to the driving range and drop $10-15 every time. PS: The balls are pretty indestructable so the only way you will run out of balls is if you loose them.
We aren't selling clubs at this point. I just use real golf clubs. I have a set of McGregor blades for the golf course, but I use my old Cleveland TA 5's for almostGOLFing. A cool club to look into is the Divnick club. They are a ratcheting club you can buy on line. It gives you every club in one club. It's really the future of easy, convenient off-course play.
Losing balls is regrettably part of playing off course, but remember, you aren't paying any greens fees so it's still super cheap. Per parking garage pool, this is an advanced form of the game where you should have a pretty straight shot before you begin to challenge a parking garage. Parking garages are the almostGOLF equivalent of a vert ramp in skateboarding. You need to build up to it.
Just be chill about freaking them out. Now that at this point they have more power than you so if you flip them out, they may just gang up against you and try to stop you from playing. I tend to be a diplomat and show them the ball and get them involved because it takes guts to walk up to a neighbor or strainger and introduce yourself. Also, you just never know who is an almostGOLFer. They may become a playing mate if done properly.
Clearly you've not hit this ball before. Now a real golf ball would do damage. That is why there is a new technology that improves this 60 year old technology. A challenge you to try the ball out. You will be greatly surprised...and you might improve your golf game.
They go a max of about 100 yards. They also fly true to a golf ball. Note that as you go lower in trajectory, they do not have the mass of a golf ball, so they tend to hit about 80 yards and then float down safely. But the best part is that you will be able to tell if you are hitting straigtht shots. With a driver this balls strength is having you work on alignment and hitting straight. Then go to the range and work on power and distance.
Thanks a lot! this is going to save me so much money! no more $9 for a bucket of 100 balls at the driving range! i can just take this to any park and start!
It is a wonderful practice product. Excellent feedback on well struck shots, bad shots though appear alot worse than in reality. I typically hit low irons and woods with them and I am sometimes confused when i see the flight when I know what it should of reasonably looked like.
