  • Morris Ankarum as the judge, amazing!

Ankarum often played the judge during the later Perry Mason series!

    Small world.

  • Wonderful, it's amazing how white folks can be made to like like colored folk. Just love Amos an Andy!

  • Hahhahahahahaa

  • Pawn it in New Jersey!!!

  • LOVE Calhoun!

  • This TV show goes down as at LEAST the top 3 Funniest ever! Tim Moore never really got his due,the show in general was "Aped" by the Honeymooners, Sanford and Son and a host of others.

  • What could Kingfish get for the sale of that gun today in Newark?

  • @ImDavidGurney East Newark or west Newark?

  • Not even a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. You got the NAACP to thank for it!

  • @usermikes Sad what The NAACP did to those guys they were brilliant

  • hillarious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I thought the 3 stooges were funny. Man, this show is a treasure. Thanks for posting it.

  • "Pawn it in New Jersey". Brilliantly funny!

  • Pure Genius!!!!!! Without doubt one of the best shows ever. I just can't make myself like Bill Cosby because I heard he was the most instrumental in getting it taken off the air. He said it made black people look bad. If it made them look anything it was fantastic / wonderful.

  • The carnival line was CLASSIC

  • Truly funny.....bring it back.

  • The judge messed his hair up when that pistol went off. This is a funny episode!

  • Pawn it in New Jersey!

  • Calhoun was the Greatest!

  • was this the first intergrated show?

  • 'I reached in my pocket to get my wallet, and shook hands with Mr. Stevens:

This is great stuff. Tim and Spencer were wonderful actors. They all were.

  • I love Algonquin.

    An early Johnny Cochrane.

  • Fuck i hate it when people get mad about this show. The writing was stellar. The actors had amazing timing and comedy chops. There was rarely an outlet for black actors in this era.

  • The pistol gag was seen in The Three Stooges short "Disorder in the Court". This is some funny stuff!

  • The last line is maybe the most hilarious (awesome episode).

  • I bet Johnny Cochran, may he rest in peace, loved Calhoun.

  • Great ending! I just can't get enough of this show. Thanks, sfuvs.

  • OMG CRAZY FUNNY!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • The show is as funny as it was 50 years ago. They were great actors who never got credit for their acting.

  • @akytilop I agree with you. Althought I don't particularly care for the dialogue but it was funny.
