It is sad because I love NWS but it had to be done some way because Nascar is trying to do everything to have more fans and this method needs new tracks on new places so more states are going to be covered with racing which will lead to more fans and money...

I guess they can have only one pocono or loudon and have one NWS at the sprint cup.

thank nascar for forgetting it's roots and snubbing it's nose at the very people who made it what it is today. to race cup cars again at wilkesboro and rockingham would be a concession to the greed that caused the abandonment of both of these great tracks in nascar's home state.

It's such a great feeling seeing this old track getting some use again after being inactive for so long.

Perhaps one day I'll make a visit and see the place in person. As I use to watch NASCAR back in '93.

I am from Ca, and I loved watching races here, on the tube. Makes me happy to see it alive again. Was so sad to see pictures of weeds growing up all over and thru the track a few yrs back.  Nascar! Get back to NW, and the Rock, c'mon. Suppose to be about awsome racing...right!? These tracks have that. Obviously the town needs you as well. Yes I love my home track, Infinion, but this racing is awsome and needed. Go Sprint car, and short track racin! ....Race fan

As the "boys have at it" attitude comes popular with the fans, I think within the next 5 years a Nationwide or Camping World Truck Series races may race there.

@dsnider2013 5 years seems fitting, they should have the race on the week of the 20th annversary of it's closure.... I'd love to see all 3 series (cup, NAtionwide and Trucks) race there...

This is a fantastic video! Thanks for posting. It's a fantastic track, and I honestly think it's a matter of time before at least some of the NASCAR series makes it back!
