No, because the PS3 is not region free. Its games are on Blu-Ray, but the system itself is not, ergo import PS1/PS2/DVDs will not run. If you got, say, an import copy of Resistance from the UK though, it would work because the disc itself is region-free.

@avukovic84 The anime is in no way a failure compared to the manga. Yes the anime is an incomplete story. From the beginning it was tailored to end @ the eclipse. Modifications were made in order to have fewer loose ends and seemingly meaningless character introductions. While the manga is absolutely amazing, the anime deserves credit for fleshing out the personality of the characters and emphasizing the themes of friendship and ambition, which succeed at making the eclipse all the more tragic.

I can't wait for this new Berserk animated project, I saw some clips from later black swordsman arcs. What mostly irritated me in original anime was that they removed Skull knight who was one of more essential characters in manga.

there is something that has been bugging me ever since I saw the animation and that is why hasn't a second series been made. I do not know why Kentaro Miura keeps putting it off. I am a writer myself and if manga or madman ever approached me and said they wanted to turn my books into an animation I would not have to think twice about letting them. Not every one is a fan of comic books or novels I understand that as do you guys so why the hell doesn't kentaro miura?

A hard question to answer precisely but there are numerous reasons why he isn't making a second season for the anime. First of all the manga is incomplete. Making an anime without the original story being complete results in failure 99% of the time. Just look at what happened to Claymore or Hellsing. Second reason is that the anime was quite bad, there were main characters that were completely left out. With a story as complicated as Berserk.. that is just unacceptable. cont-part 2

A third reason is because he's working on Berserk alone. The manga releases would be even slower if he had more side projects. Especially something as involving as an anime. Berserk is not a group project.. it's just Miura. His life's master piece also has to be considered. I doubt Miura is the type of person that would agree to making more unfaithful Berserk anime purely for money or some other stupid reason. This isn't Naruto were fillers can tossed in left and right. cont - part 3-

The violence and content is also a problem. In a manga, gore, rape and violence are more accepted then in animes. Which is why Berserk got a late night time slot on tv. Hindering it's success. Those are all the reasons that currently come to mind.
