I remember those riot days, living among the Malays at Tengku Rahman st. After my father's encounter w the near death attack, we dared not leave our house. Hence, going to sleep hungry was a daily issue. But my Malay neighbours were very helpful and kind, providing food and forming a shield to protect my family of 13 and other Chinese family living around that area at that time. We should all live in harmony and consider ourselves as Singaporean. Peace in
