In your frequently asked ques. video you said you shampoo like every 3 weeks which is understandable since you use all natural stuff on your hair, but i wanted to know if you Co wash? and if so how often?
wow thank you! i never knew why my twists wouldn't stay. it was because i was moving my hands down the twist! i never knew i was supposed to twist in place! thanks for the awesome videos!
Thank you so much for the tip about not moving the hands downward. I used this tip to put mini-twists in my hair, and they are so smooth and strong. =]
I have to say that i really enjoy watching your videos. Please tell me where did you purchase your sray bootle? If it is a gift, let me know the brand of it. Thank you for your time. Great job
Great Vid CHICA! I have been moved to try this, Thanks alot! No one has even shown the difference and you are right about the wanting to just get it over with lol
This technique has helped me so much!! I had never been able to keep my twists longer than 2 weeks. I am now on week two and my twists still look great. I know I will be able to keep them in for 4 weeks. Thank you.
I really appreciate and enjoy your videos! Thanks for the visual on the twisting techniques! I was conditioning and sealing and trying to gel away my frizzies; never thinking the culprit was actually the way I was twisting my hair!
I'm in love with my mini twists and it's thanks to you. I'd never dread my hair. And mini twists are the next best thing. People stare at my hair all the time. Cause up close they realize it's not dreads but twists.
my mini twists lasted approximately 10 days. its started with the twists around my edges which unraveled. but i like it. it was worth it. it was nice not having to do jack squat with it for 10 days & just workout & still have a cool down do. you are my fav!
OMGosh...Whitney, your tips were the BOMB! I normally do the lazy twist and my hair would frizz like crazy. I tried it your way and WOW what a difference. Thanks soooooo much for sharing! BTW, where did you find these tips or were they through trial & error?
I sort of applied this method to my starter locs (they're coils instead of twists) and it works great. Normally they'd unravel a lot the moment I let go but not this time. Thanks for this vid!
Whitney thank you SO much for your twisting "tightly" tip, and the 2 demonstrations. I have been mini-twisting for 7mths now (leaving them in for a month at a time), and found that my hair does exactly what yours did in the first demo, puffs up with little frizzies. So i can't wait to try this new method when my 4wks is up next wk. Thanks so much again, you're a Godsend.
I just want to say thank you, thank you!!! You are a life saver!!! I love all your videos !! you teach me so much about how to manage my hair. You are my favourit utuber. Because of you and your hair tips I love my hair more and more each day!!
Keep doing what your doing you seem so genuine. I always look forward to your videos!!
oh yeah, what brand of aloe vera juice do you use? I wanna start incorporating it into my regimen. Does the juice mixture ever spoil sitting in your spray bottle?
I've done mini twists in the past and I love the look. I'll try the tips you mention but can you do a video on how you take them out? When I last did them, I had lots of tangles when taking them out and a little bit a breakage b/c of that. How can I avoid it?
Wow used ur technique (keeping hands in place) and my twists look different, hang differently, and I didn't run out if hair at the end! Can't wait for the take down ;)
@Naptural85 OMG this entire time i thought i just had hair that would not be able to do a twistout bt come to find out, Ive just been twisting my hair wrong!! Thnks so much! I finally know to achieve a twist out lol after 8 months of being natural
I love watching your videos Whitney!! You're so very descriptive and informative! When I put in my mini-twist for the first time I was doing exactly what you said not to do. They didn't last for very long. I'll definitely try it this way when I have the patients to do them again. Thanks again for your awesome videos!! Take care!! :D
After years of twisting I finally learned this technique two mini twists ago. It really makes a difference in terms of detangling as well. Thanks love your videos!!
Wow...it's like a workout... "Keep going, keep going, twist tight; don't get lazy! Lol. I'm going to have to hire some help when my hair gets that long and I want to mini-twists. Good Lord - talk about tedious! It's really pretty though
my daughters hair lasted six weeks... the flax seed gel helped alot when I was twisting using your techniques... I already said thanks on your last twist video, but I'm saying it again..thank you
Thanks so much for the twist demonstration. I've been doing a lazy twist and have major fuzz in about two - three days. I'm going to try your technique and go from there. Thanks again for this GREAT demo.
thank you thank you thank you for the tip about twisting TIGHT! i used to move my hands down but tried the other technique and BOY was i surprised how tight and neat that twist was!! awesome tips! you are the best!
Just in time for me...I have this week off, so I'm starting my mini twist installation process today. I'm kinda nervous...you know, if I take all that time and it doesn't look good :(. Thanks for all the help. Wish me luck!

Man you make me want to do some micro mini twists right after I take down these yarn braids.... on second thought, taking them down is going to take long enough.... maybe next month I'll do it.
You rock!! I have done mini twist~ I am on 2nd week and they still look good! But my fronts got a a little frizzy because I end up wetting my hair everyday lol so thats my fault!! but man~ your wrapping method is soooo good!
I totally twist like that, but I never knew how to explain it to people if I was typing on the internet, of how I get my twists mini and regular to be so tight. I always had to show in person. You're so awesome!!!
You are so helpful... Love your energy and how u interact with us your subbies.... Keep your em coming girlie... I so look forward to watching your vids even though I would never do mini twists, lol... I have no patience at all😉... Until next time!!
Thank you SO much for breaking it down. I was trying mini twists for the first time today and got so frustrated that they seemed to unravel so fast. Now I understand - great job!
goooood advice about twisting...I hope people also apply this to kinky twists or any other kind of twist for good results...even works for good twist outs = better definition.
Wow your hair is growing by the minute. now, I have QUESTION, your hair has alot of flexibility and elasticity. does that depends on your hair type. I find it more with woman with kinkier texture ex.. 4a 4b 4c department. that has elasticity, than woman with curly hair ex... 3a 3b 3c which lays downs meaning curly hair show the length but don't have that much flexibility and elasticity but still have shrinkage. than with some one that has a kinkier texture with flex and elas. what the deal????
I've heard that there's two different ways of twisting one's hair. What is the difference? Can you make a video showing the difference of actually twisting the hair?
To create a strong twist your suppose to twist with your finger tips. Twist each of the two separate pieces in the opposite direction of what direction the twists are. Like how they twists ropes. That's how the hair dressers do it.
great, great instruction regarding twisting in place so that the twists are as tight as possible. and the aloe vera and water tip. i'm going to try both of those on my twists (not mini). thanks.
I used this method when I did my twists and everybody thinks I got them professionally done. I love them :). But my hair is probably about shoulder/collarbone length pulled down straight so it's not as tiring as I'm sure it is for you at your length.
Thanks for the twisting tip :D I had no idea the way I was twisting is the reason why my twists were frizzy. I will definitely try your technique next week! Again thank you!
@Naptural85 The Twisting QUEEN! What do you think about stretching the hair before the twisting or should the tightness of the twist be enough to stretch it out?
This is great. I had my medium twists in for two weeks then broke them down into smaller and then once more. And left it that way for two weeks. total of six weeks and I'm going to use your tips to keep them from being so frizzy. :-) And Whit... I LOVE your channel! Thanks hun.
Tight twists! Ding ding ding!!! Thank you. OMGorsh I've been doing it all wrong. Thanks for the tips! I will twist tighter next time (and maybe a bit smaller too). Yes; I will do it again. I know. I'm crazy...
I love all your videos! Thanks for taking the time out to explain your techniques and methods for your hair. I'm going to try this on my hair... it's just that my hair is so thick so I be twisting for years lol.
... I was about to type a comment saying that if you have a looser curl pattern they will unravel easier... but you annotated it right when I started typing, lol. Still don't think I have the patience to do these, however, they always like great on you. :)
i love your hair! i have no patience AT ALL for this style though. i've tried it twice and both times i took them back down within the next day before even finishing my whole head! lol..maybe once my hair grows back out i'll try it again.
Hi girl ! I'm french so I don't really understand all you're saying on your videos but I understand the most important things ! I want to thank you for those videos, they help ! (excuse me for my english lol) ! I love your videos so keep it on pleaaaase ! And thank you VERY much !! Bye
Y U NO SAY THIS EARLIER!?! =_= lol jk *not really* ^_^ that makes sense. i was wondering why they kept getting all puffy and coming a loose.. I think i'll try them again next weekend now that i know how to do them right lol
HEY NAPTURALS85 LOVE YOUR VIDEOS ON MINI TWIST......I AM FROM JAMAICA AND WE HAVE MINI TWIST EVERYWHERE HOWEVER WE CALL OR TWISTS ROPE TWIST DUE TO THE TECHNIQUE AND THE END RESULTS IT LOOKS LIKE A ROPE......JUST WONDERING IF YOU KNEW HOW TO ROPE TWIST???????/ IT ACTUALLY LASTS LONGER THAN YOUR MINI TWIST.
Wow. Thanks so much for giving this demonstration. I was twisting my hair while watching you twist yours and I realized that what you explained was exactly why I couldn't keep my twists in longer than a week. You're a genius ;)
I read somewhere once that when doing twists you want to make "as many revolutions as possible." This was a GREAT illustration of that - Thanks! You're the best, Whit :)
I've been watching your videos for a long time now and I want to say that you have a beautiful spirit. Continue to make videos because you're obviously blessed and are blessing many others through them :) !!
okay thanks so much! that explains why my twists didnt last as long i was wondering why my hair never looked as neat as yours when it was done. Im glad i watched this video before i did them again. I absolutely love your videos you inspire me :-)
ur amazing! i'm too lazy 4 that! i do try 2 do stationery twists 2 keep them tight but i make abt 4-5 rows around the perimeter of my head small & then they gradually get bigger from 1/4-1/2" in size. i also try to do rope twist to stop some of the frizz. hhj! thanx 4 the vid!
In your frequently asked ques. video you said you shampoo like every 3 weeks which is understandable since you use all natural stuff on your hair, but i wanted to know if you Co wash? and if so how often?

... I was about to type a comment saying that if you have a looser curl pattern they will unravel easier... but you annotated it right when I started typing, lol. Still don't think I have the patience to do these, however, they always like great on you. :)

You're the best, Whit :)

ur amazing! i'm too lazy 4 that! i do try 2 do stationery twists 2 keep them tight but i make abt 4-5 rows around the perimeter of my head small & then they gradually get bigger from 1/4-1/2" in size. i also try to do rope twist to stop some of the frizz. hhj! thanx 4 the vid!
