  • In your frequently asked ques. video you said you shampoo like every 3 weeks which is understandable since you use all natural stuff on your hair, but i wanted to know if you Co wash? and if so how often?

  • Dear Ms Naptural85,

Please continue to make your awesome videos. I have been natural all my life and it is so hard to find styles to put my hair in. Thank you so much!!!

  • Awesome tip! Thanks

  • wow thank you! i never knew why my twists wouldn't stay. it was because i was moving my hands down the twist! i never knew i was supposed to twist in place! thanks for the awesome videos!

  • Thank you so much for the tip about not moving the hands downward. I used this tip to put mini-twists in my hair, and they are so smooth and strong. =]

  • i dont cant tell u how much i thank you for this. wow.....just.....thank you!

  • I have to say that i really enjoy watching your videos. Please tell me where did you purchase your sray bootle? If it is a gift, let me know the brand of it. Thank you for your time. Great job

  • You always make such good, helpful vids. thanks for the tips!

  • Great Vid CHICA! I have been moved to try this, Thanks alot! No one has even shown the difference and you are right about the wanting to just get it over with lol

  • Do u think I will be able to pull this off with 8 months post Relaxer hair

  • This technique has helped me so much!! I had never been able to keep my twists longer than 2 weeks. I am now on week two and my twists still look great. I know I will be able to keep them in for 4 weeks. Thank you.

  • I really appreciate and enjoy your videos! Thanks for the visual on the twisting techniques! I was conditioning and sealing and trying to gel away my frizzies; never thinking the culprit was actually the way I was twisting my hair!

  • oh wait. I forgot that you did a length check in October. lol maybe in another few months :)

  • I'm in love with my mini twists and it's thanks to you. I'd never dread my hair. And mini twists are the next best thing. People stare at my hair all the time. Cause up close they realize it's not dreads but twists.

  • my mini twists lasted approximately 10 days. its started with the twists around my edges which unraveled. but i like it. it was worth it. it was nice not having to do jack squat with it for 10 days & just workout & still have a cool down do. you are my fav!

  • I just had to say, I did the mini twists today and the flax gel worked! Try it guys it helped alot with frizz!

  • Thank you! This was exactly what I needed. I could not figure out how to stop the frizz and this was perfect. Thank you again. Keep it up!

  • OMGosh...Whitney, your tips were the BOMB! I normally do the lazy twist and my hair would frizz like crazy. I tried it your way and WOW what a difference. Thanks soooooo much for sharing! BTW, where did you find these tips or were they through trial & error?

  • I sort of applied this method to my starter locs (they're coils instead of twists) and it works great. Normally they'd unravel a lot the moment I let go but not this time. Thanks for this vid!

  • Whitney thank you SO much for your twisting "tightly" tip, and the 2 demonstrations. I have been mini-twisting for 7mths now (leaving them in for a month at a time), and found that my hair does exactly what yours did in the first demo, puffs up with little frizzies. So i can't wait to try this new method when my 4wks is up next wk. Thanks so much again, you're a Godsend.

  • that's how I twist people always wonder how I get them so strong and I just let the hair guide me

  • oh yeah, what brand of aloe vera juice do you use? I wanna start incorporating it into my regimen. Does the juice mixture ever spoil sitting in your spray bottle?

  • I've done mini twists in the past and I love the look. I'll try the tips you mention but can you do a video on how you take them out? When I last did them, I had lots of tangles when taking them out and a little bit a breakage b/c of that. How can I avoid it?

    You are my hair inspiration!

  • Patience Patience..I dnt have it. But nice tip.

  • Thank you for this vid. My twists look fabulous now. I just want to know the proportion of water to Aloe Vera juice and water.

  • You rock!! I have done mini twist~ I am on 2nd week and they still look good! But my fronts got a a little frizzy because I end up wetting my hair everyday lol so thats my fault!! but man~ your wrapping method is soooo good!

  • How long do it take you to do those mini twists

  • I totally twist like that, but I never knew how to explain it to people if I was typing on the internet, of how I get my twists mini and regular to be so tight. I always had to show in person. You're so awesome!!!

  • Thank you SO much for breaking it down. I was trying mini twists for the first time today and got so frustrated that they seemed to unravel so fast. Now I understand - great job!

  • goooood advice about twisting...I hope people also apply this to kinky twists or any other kind of twist for good results...even works for good twist outs = better definition.

  • Very helpful and informative

  • Great video...lesson learned

  • gorgeous~

  • Great tips!

  • this was very informative for me considering my twists always look meh.

  • Wow your hair is growing by the minute. now, I have QUESTION, your hair has alot of flexibility and elasticity. does that depends on your hair type. I find it more with woman with kinkier texture ex.. 4a 4b 4c department. that has elasticity, than woman with curly hair ex... 3a 3b 3c which lays downs meaning curly hair show the length but don't have that much flexibility and elasticity but still have shrinkage. than with some one that has a kinkier texture with flex and elas. what the deal????

  • I've heard that there's two different ways of twisting one's hair. What is the difference? Can you make a video showing the difference of actually twisting the hair?

  • I ENJOY YOUR VIDEOS FULL OF INFO LIGHT HEARTED JUST ENJOYABLE. THE HAIR LOOKS GREAT

  • To create a strong twist your suppose to twist with your finger tips. Twist each of the two separate pieces in the opposite direction of what direction the twists are. Like how they twists ropes. That's how the hair dressers do it.

  • great, great instruction regarding twisting in place so that the twists are as tight as possible. and the aloe vera and water tip. i'm going to try both of those on my twists (not mini). thanks.

  • i love your mini twist, you have beautiful hair.

  • Never considered that my texture was the reason my twists don't last as long. Hmmm.

  • I used this method when I did my twists and everybody thinks I got them professionally done. I love them :). But my hair is probably about shoulder/collarbone length pulled down straight so it's not as tiring as I'm sure it is for you at your length.

  • in twists or braidout, co-wash or twistout your hair is always beautiful. Thanks again inspiration!

  • Thanks for the twisting tip :D I had no idea the way I was twisting is the reason why my twists were frizzy. I will definitely try your technique next week! Again thank you!

  • Your hair is lovely. Now that I see your length, I know why it takes you a few days- your hair is super long. Great video.

  • Great demo! That makes so much sense.

  • Great tips!!!

  • @Naptural85 The Twisting QUEEN! What do you think about stretching the hair before the twisting or should the tightness of the twist be enough to stretch it out?

  • This is great. I had my medium twists in for two weeks then broke them down into smaller and then once more. And left it that way for two weeks. total of six weeks and I'm going to use your tips to keep them from being so frizzy. :-) And Whit... I LOVE your channel! Thanks hun.

  • Ooooh...Donah try this 0nce...0nly becuz I dnt have the patience for the really tight twist lol

  • ... I was about to type a comment saying that if you have a looser curl pattern they will unravel easier... but you annotated it right when I started typing, lol. Still don't think I have the patience to do these, however, they always like great on you. :)

  • ur amazing! i'm too lazy 4 that! i do try 2 do stationery twists 2 keep them tight but i make abt 4-5 rows around the perimeter of my head small & then they gradually get bigger from 1/4-1/2" in size. i also try to do rope twist to stop some of the frizz. hhj! thanx 4 the vid!
