This is my favorite story, besides Snow White. I like this version better because I agree with madmadmiko about the beauty of friendship. Love doesn't always have to be romantic all the time, love can come in all shapes and sizes, no matter how old or young a person is. The prince is wiser and good-hearted and Zora is radiant and full of beauty; they needed each other's friendship to help solve their dilemma.

Argh, I am sick and tired of reading comments saying the Prince is too old for Zora. THEY AREN'T AN ITEM!!! There is no ***real*** suggestion that they are romantically inclined towards each other. This movie is about FRIENDSHIP! The fact that Zora wants a friend and then finding it with the Frog should be clear. They even sing a song about being friends! Not every Female Lead and Male Lead HAVE to get together in the end! Sheesh!

I just wanted to thank you so much for putting this up. I grew up watching this movie, and although I am only 20 now, I haven't seen this in at least 14 years. I can't believe the bits and pieces that I remembered, and the parts that had slipped through the cracks of time. There is no way to repay the joy that you brought to me. if im not mistaken she was arnd 15 or 16 at the time of filming and he was arnd 32 or so (bad enough i know) and helen hunt was arnd 25or so and the characters they're playing r supposed to be 12 and 17 i think.

but i think the whole theme of the film is friendship not love... so maybe its less disturbing if u look at it that way... but on the other hand what wudv been the harm if theyd got actors closer in age?

after she meets him and the too tall frog song.. he gives her back her ball, they become friends and they go into the palace (i think that there is a scene where they imitate those 6 courtiers) and then the next bit starts.
