  • For my PAST test, i'm going to have to do a 25m swim underwater without touching the surface, two times, with 3 minute rest, then a 500m free swim in under 9:50, which I can do in 7:30, then 30 minute break, then do a mile and a half run in 9:45, 10 minute break, then 10 pull ups, 2 minute rest, 54 sit ups with 2 minute rest, then 52 push ups. I have 3 and a half months to train, only thing I need is 3 more pull ups, and 15 more push ups. But of course I wanna exceed that limit.

  • Crash by 12 stones . Jeff smells

  • what's the name of the song? BTW nice vid

  • @Triplewave4 song name is '12 Stones - Crash'

  • @911enemy thnx!

  • Great video ... Got a mate of mine who done 2,500 jumps ... did not realise how fast you descend!!! I looks an awesome experience

  • Its my dream to become a Pararescue Jumper i love the USAF!!!

  • @RyuOG hell yah! i want to be in the secuirity forces or an air crew man hooyah!

  • Does anyone know if it would be possible for someone with an ICD (basically a defibrilator and pacemaker combined) to join the air force and/or do this? cause i got one this year. it doesn't really create any physical limitations but i've been thinking about joining the air force since i was 10 and im afraid this fucked it up. :/

  • @lemmingsuicide1234 im not sure, but i hope it dosnt, goodluck though:) i want to join pararescue as well. but idk if i can make it through training..

  • @lemmingsuicide1234 I'm pretty sure you can still join the AF, but not do this. I don't think they want someone who might end up having a heart problem on a mission. This qualifys as high stress stuff, and if you have an existing condition, putting your heart under stress could be fatal. Talk to a recruiter, they can tell you way more than I know.

  • did someone say badass???

  • I want to know or people who actually gone sky diving I it hard to skydive beacause of the velocity if air pushing you or can you move rasping in the air?

  • What's the name of this song?

  • @aithomas87 12 Stones - Crash

  • signing up soon. going in for PJ rescue

  • @mylesmoncalieri10

I will be joining you man, I want to live by that moto. This would be an amazing thing to do. and a great honor :)

  • Russia loses srry. Americans will just murder them uav's, ac 130's, pavelows' Acr's, Barret 50.cal im sorry as a future military joiny i have to say america srry but when we destroy your country ill be sure to send you a pak of roses at the morgage.

  • @xXEXAMPLEZXx Dont mistake Mw2 as real life

  • @Darkknight6957 i kno lol i was just kidding.

  • This is what i want to train myself for with my recruiter for the air force... of course i have to pass the ASVABT and the PAST but hopefully i get into this.

  • can PJs be officers and still go into combat?

  • @sstanfield100 dude i was wondering the same thing...all my life ive been wanting to go to the academy....and all my life ive wanted to do this... but no one can seem to give me an answer

  • @Zac147147 dude, if your going into the academy then dont do PJ. become a fucking pilot man. and yes they can. but most are enlisted because its easier to hop into as an enlistee rather than an officer and going through all the ROTC or OTS bullshit.

  • @bryan31992 ya but ive jobshadowed a f-16 pilot and a lot of their job is behind a desk and thats not what i want

  • @bryan31992 and NO its not easier. CROs will basically do indoc twice while they are supposed to be at graduation standards when the START indoc so they can be a prime example of a PJ trainee. <1% of academy graduates are pilots for the airforce, and only the Marines want fighter pilots right now.

  • @Zac147147 yes you can go through the academy and become a PJ as an officer. I just received my appointment and Ive talked to a couple PJ's who went to the Academy but you have to make it through the pipeline the first time. no second chances for officers

  • @Zac147147 if you wanna do pj just expect a different job atmosphere for CROs.

  • @sstanfield100 I think so. The position is CRO, but I'm not positive

  • @mycroftOwns

    Correct!

  • @sstanfield100 not really, Combat rescue officers have more important things to do. they leave the fun to enlisted, who could be joint with army or navy and end up just as a medic while the officers are strictly rescue. a huge group just graduated indoc and its going to be the lotto for Rangers, SEALs and Green Beret, while there are still only 2 CROs gradutating. its Definitely a prestigious place in the armed forces.

  • this job looks like the sh!t, man!!! tons of fun & actions & ugh!!! looks totally sick, too bad its for men only!!! gawd!!! that sucks old hairy balls haha..

  • Comment removed

  • NOT be "that guy". just always remember its MIND over MATTER brother. Pain isnt shit but a feeling that is begging you to stop, you just gotta block it out and tell it to shut the fuck up. your not gonna fall over dying. lol thats its

  • @bryan31992 well said man

  • bottom line, dont stress over it. live it as it comes and stay in the moment. the drownproofing part will crush you mentally if your not prepared. its sad to say but when a comrad blows the horn, it gives you that inter drive to

  • You want to prepare for indoc? Play water polo, practice swimming underwater, learn how to retrieve your mask and snorkel from the bottom of the deep end... Anything to get you comfortable in the water, as that is where almost everyone freaks out and blows the horn. Of course, it is very important to get in really good shape running and calisthenics wise, but where most people quit is the cold water of the Skylark or the Chap.

  • I DONT understand, haha getting ahead of my self. on a timed schedule. sorry.

  • @Seaprimate

no, bro..YOU got it mixed up man. PAST is just a small test that sees if you even capable to going to INDOC bro. I understand how you can say the PAST is harder than INDOC when you can pass the PAST and get washed out the first day of INDOC and INDOC isnt just a little floaty session my friend, its gonna push you to your limits and then some. Just make sure your in shape and you have the hussle, heart, and grit for the job. Don't stress over it.

  • @GoFuckyaself2times=Are you a PJ? What did you do to pass the PAST as far as physical training?

  • Long live Pararescue - thank you guys for saving my cousin.

  • what's the name of the song, and who sings it?

  • @Seaprimate 12 stones - Crash

  • 20% physical 80% mental my friend.

just workout on cardio, slim down the stockiness, if ya got it.

the PAST is a breeeze, its INDOC ya gotta worry about.

just make sure your up for the challenge man, 85-90% washout rate...stay in the moment and take it as it comes.

  • @bryan31992

lol, you got it backwards. Its PAST you gotta worry about not INDOC. The PAST you can prepare for so it helps to worry about it. Nothing, NOTHING really prepares you for indoc so why worry about it. Just don't quit. I'm not a PJ though, its just what I've gathered from what I've heard.

  • The PAST is for little girls compared to INDOC man.

  • Hoo Yah! That the truth

  • what's the age limit for applying to be a PJ?

  • 18, no actual age limit. just gotta be in the military. after basic, you take the PAST (physical and stamina test), then you start InDoc (hardest part) after you succeed in InDoc you got a free ticket to the "pipeline" 17months of fun. :)

  • so there's no upper age limit, as long as you can survive past and indoc?

  • whatever age you enlist at

  • the whole time i was thinking "weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee"

  • OH SNAP, PJ's are crazy!

  • Imagine the Rush!

  • Good luck and don't give up and realize if you make it you'll be so happy you followed through and didn't quit as that would be the easy thing to do.

  • I'm about to join the Air Force and am contemplating going in to become a PJ is there anything, any tips, guidance or just a simple remark someone could shout out? I would appreciate it.

  • @toocka45 If you havent been training for the past year or so, my suggestion is dont apply. By training, I mean killing yourself in the pool, running at least 12m a week, and at least 500 pushups and 1000 situps a week.

  • I agree with Glock3260. I don't intend to even be able to apply for them for three years, and I'm already running 30 a week and hoping that that's enough for this point in time. You gotta have that motivation. You gotta want it. If you're not asking yourself each day, "Am I doing something today to prepare myself for that kind of commitment?" Then, you know you need to prep yourself more.

I'm about to link you some websites with some info for you on the Indoc course and the PAST.

  • The remark I'd shout is "Hooyah"!! You can do it buddy. Get with a recruiter for a lot of info, as far as what you will be looking at physically. It's called a "PAST test" google it or whatever, you'll find up to date standards on physical tests. I'm in the AF and work with PJ's every day and I'll tell you, there is no limit to the respect those guys get wherever it is they go. (They don't do too bad with the ladies either!)

  • @toocka45 Listen man not that those are bad numbers the other guys are giving you but if anyone is thinking about becoming a superman you wanna hit 500 push ups at least every other day, swimming at the very least 1000M a day, probably good to run 50 miles a week, this is all before you ship ti basic, you also wanna meet the indoc graduation requirements before you leave for basic and be able to run 10 miles at a 7:00min/mile pace. Not Impossible . . . .Stay motivated man

  • Hoo Yah!

You will be doin much more than that once you arrive on Medina Annex to begin INDOC ;-)

  • just workout alot and run a lot. if you dont it will just make it harder on you when you try out on the P.A.S.T test

  • yes there is

  • is there a high risk of dying in the pararescue air force

  • Why the hell does it matter? PJs are still PJs whether they are "Special" or not. I'm training to enter CRO, but thats a lil different. This isnt call of duty, its real life. Is a PJ/SEAL/Green Beret any less of their job if someone decides not to call them "Special"? "That Others May Live" Thats all that matters, nothing else.

  • what idiot would jump out of a perfectly good airplane....i would!!

  • @lestat1591 airborne agenda

1st week of jump school:sperate the men from the boys

2nd week of jump school:sperate the men from the fools

    3rd week:the fools jump

lol airborne daddy all the way!!

  • too bad pj's aren't special operations anymore

  • ... but they are? They're a part of STS (Special Tactics Squadrons) which are a part of AFSOC, which is a part of USSOCOM?

  • they don't default to an STS they have to apply for it just like we do now. The only guys in the air force that go straight to an STS or special operations squadron are CCT now because they actually take an AFSOC pt test in their indoctrination and they go through the motions of getting into a special operations squadron from the get go. PJ's do not, when I was in indoc the PT test we took was not an AFSOC pt test and now it makes sense to me.

  • Comment removed

  • They don't apply. They are assigned to either an RQS or an STS. Despite your contention that PJs aren't Special Forces, try telling the Air Force that. Get you facts straight if you're gonna post about special operations. There is enough misinformation out there as it is. What do you know about tiered assets anyway?

  • First of all, they are most definitely considered special "forces" the only ones considered that are Army Green Berets. Second, PJ's are now conventional unless they apply for an STS or other special operations squadron. What do I know about tiered assets? I am Tier 3 and work with 3, 2, and 1.

  • PJ's are in just as much risk as SEALs and Green Berets. They go along side in some instances. Sometimes, the PJs get called in to bail out other spec ops if things get too hairy and there were US casualties behind enemy lines. They're all part of the "Leave no one behind" dynamic.

Besides, I doubt you could handle a day at Indoc

  • we lost 50 my first day lol

Don't know how they got there to begin with

  • If you've done your research you will come to find that Pararescue defaults to ACC now...

  • Pararescue, as a careerfield operates under ACC, unless they work in an STS, which falls under AFSOC. Once again PJs do NOT apply to STSs. STSs are not some special place where PJs have to apply to get in. They are assigned. Working for an SOS or STS is not the defining factor in determining a special operator. As far as tiered assets go, I guess no PJs are tier 1? You mentioned you went to indoc. Was that for PJ?

  • Yes

  • I'm assuming you didn't make it. What was the purpose of your comment about PJs not being special operations?

  • because it is the truth, I'm not going to continue to argue with you when you don't know what is going on in the Air Force.

  • I know what is going on in the Air Force and even more so in the Pararescue careerfield. I don't take kindly to posts that are aimed soley at discrediting PJs or provide false information to the public. You say PJs are conventional unless in an STS? What is the difference between an STS PJ and an RQS PJ?

  • STS PJ is more experience through time in service and is either ASKED or APPLY's to go to an STS. Thats how it goes. No one is discrediting anyone. Your're taking offense to a subject you have some knowledge on. The world conventional refers to those not supporting a Black or White SOF mission. Thats what conventional means. Its no discredit to them. It is what it is. Get your facts straight.

  • That is not how it goes. I'm getting tired of repeating myself. My facts are straight. For the third time posting this, PJs do not appy nor are they asked to join an STS, with the exception of joining a tier 1 group. That is the only scenario where PJs must apply, along with everyone else. Not all STSs have PJs. STS PJs have no more experience or time in service than RQS PJs. You are wrong. I have personal experience in the matter so my knowledge level is a little higher than some.

  • hey wishyouwerapj forget this idiot he is wrong...i have a friend who is a active navy seal and i always pick his brain about tier 1 and tier 2 and pj's so on and so on..poor guy i bet sometimes i get on his nerves lol your correct hes not...i love to see experts on here dont you? pj's ARE airforce spec ops along with combat control the make up specail tatics wich im sure you know...some people just think they know it all..what can you do

  • don't get me wrong they're still bad ass and they go through some intense training, but only to be tier 3 like everyone else in the regular military and not tier 2 or 1.

  • I've only done static line jumps but I would have to say no. My hands start sweating uncontrollably. Then when your parachute opens and you done all your safety checks you can calm down and enjoy the view.

  • chapj18....do a coupla of civy jumps before school...

  • Anyone know what song this is?

  • 12 stones-crash it´s a rly great song :) im listening to it all day :D

  • This is a pretty low jump. Usually we jump from at least 15,000+ this must be in training a Ft. Bragg in NC. I can't find any true HALO jumps on YouTube... Anyone know where I can find one? I'd upload my own, but I'd get in trouble :-/

  • gotta wait a few years to upload mine as well...prob 25 years, ha ha just kidding...

  • You wont get in trouble. Just inform your CO

that you are going to post a video of a jump.

As long as it's just a jump (training) than you

will most likely be fine. Non-training would be

    a problem for obvious reasons.

  • @SIECKTWO upload it, i wont tell.

  • I've Watched this video probably over 10 times in the last two days, definitely got my respect.

  • love this video its so cool

  • freakin 8000 foot drop before their shute opens, they are godly

  • I love these guys they are the coolest... I actually work on all their equipment they have on from the parachutes to the helmets and all the survival equipment they have on them about 90% of there stuff i maintain. And at the moment my shop is breaking off from our own flight and going to join the pararescue as a part of their sqaudron on my base. ( i dont want to disclose any info) but once we do that we get jump slots and as their maintainers and will be certified jumpers to jump with them =)

  • sounds real cool! have fun and be safe.

  • @chapaj18 Hello James Chapa. Thank you for working on our stuff. Also my car kicks your cars ass... and my computer too.

  • @chapaj18 I'm glad you take pride in your work!! I'll be wearing that parachute one day lol

  • @chapaj18

    How did that go man!?

  • wooo seems like the greatest thrill

  • Somebody know the name of the song please ?

  • 12 stones - crash.

  • Thanks you man, ;)

  • No problem.

  • u serious?

  • hoorah

  • Awesome Jump !

  • Anyone know of good HALO jump vids?

  • damn I havent seen a ripcord in a long time

  • all those training exercises are useless, when mother Russia comes it will be to late.

  • well it can't be too late because we already did the exercises as you can see and we were not preparing for Russia. We do not have an inadequate sized military (even before drafting) and not one technologically challenged with mingled parts with old and new items mixed. You will be put in your place economically and militarily because Russia wanted oil lost by invading Georgia and they lost billions. Putin will piss his pants like he has time and time again, not all can play in the big league.

  • is he saying the U.S. is scared of Russia?

  • lol yeah and its called blind patriotism or blindly following government.

  • lmao that russia dude is forgeting something. russia wont have the balls to attack the U.S.

1.All the power the U.S. and the special force

2.Australian SASR could more than likely wipe out russia haha aswell as the help of british SAS and SBS.

    3. if america goes to war we(Australians) will to because we U.S. fuck buddy lol, we need them you need us lol.

4 Aussies and the U.S. have the UK

    5. than NZ will come into it , and then the whole of the commenwealth. no chance russia

  • yes yes very true, because when it comes to freedom free nations react. And i was just wondering, how is that ban on guns going because I know Brits who say its bad but I have no friends that live in Australia

  • start seeing more real TV dude, this world has change a lot since the coldwar!, now is a bi-polar world, wich means 2 super powera, Rusian Federation and the USA ( by the way I'm not Russian, my step mother is and they are very nice people).

In Russia people are not even a bit! afraid of any treat from the USA or it's allies, becuase they know they have the capablity to defend itself at anytime! in any direction, and they call give you guys a letal offensive.

  • i know i never said russians would be pricks did i?. Im sure russians would be very nice people not what people make them out ot be, and yes i believe they can defence them selve if it was just USA and russia, but not all of the Australian, NZLD, UK, Than other allies who are friends with allies, btw im no U.S im Aussie. But yes then it comes in with North Korea etc, but honestly russia would be to out numbered, yes they can hold off, but it's only time until they would break

  • oh so you are underestimating Russias allies?, outnumbered?? did you exclude, plus 2 million Chinese troops plus Iranian trouble in the Persian waters, plus the Belorussians, moldovo, syria, venzuela, and maybe India?! , no way U.S can win the war so easily.

  • russia can only hold of for a certain time, there out numbered in everyway. but honestly, this is never gunna happen they will never be a WW3, because the world will come to a end all jokes aside, theres no point of fighting over it's it's the net let forget about it and get on with our lives ok?

  • oh yea and when they told the pussies of NATO and U.S warships near Georgia to leave they in 26 left right away!!,

wow your miserable national dept is 10 trillion dollars!! common sell have of your pathetic country to china probably they can pardon your sins!! hahha

dicks you jealous at Russian new economic and military power. bye don't waist my time, and when WW3 come i personally advise you to come to Russia you'll be safe. no joke

  • Ya because the U.S. has some sense to avoid world catastrophic wars, and why fight when the Georgians take out a of bunch jets and cause a sharp economic downfall in Russia. And I really don't think your in any position to declare who is who's bitch country and China is a declining power fyi. And truly if there was any safe nation it would be the U.S. not that turmoil country with a desperate government clinging to stay at the worlds elite, rebels have and can take it over, not ur army though.

  • they left because they didnt want trouble if they fired at them lol, use are fucked

  • quisqueyatv I laughed my ass off at your retarded comment. Russia cant do shit!

  • Mother russia would of already came if they had the means. They can't even take countries 1/8 the size of th U.S. Like prevalentEvil said russia isn't in any econimical or technological place to do anything at this point.

  • Hey Zack, this turned out really well man!

  • That looks like fun!
