@hrobjartur They are on ebay. I got a Panasonic FZ35 for £180. The FZ35 is the same camera but sold in asia and america. They guy selling it just included a plug adapter. They are new and mine works perfectly

My opinion, for what its worth, is that having a video function - HD or otherwise - is detrimental for a camera - a bridge camera - in this price range - if you want to take video get a camcorder! Some of them zoom out to 60 x!!!!! The money spent on the video part of the cameras budget would be better spent on making the quality of the stills much better and improving the overall quality of a camera that may cost less then $200 / £200 - of course there has to be a compromise!

Only one problem for all LUMIX FZ series : NOISE !! I hate that noise in lumix camera (even in small ISO 800 you can find noise)

@rifleman0007 It is a fantastic camera if its your first bridge camera, a DSLR was too expensive for me back then so i bought this to get into photography, it produces fantastic quality photos and the zoom is excellent and focuses really well, i use my iPhone 4 to take photos now, i use the FZ38 if its a tricky shot, or my sony T700 which captures a dozen photos in less than a second.

This camera is the 2009 Model, there is a new 2010 model out called Panasonic FZ45, which is slightly better.

550d is better. Has input socket for mic. D5000 has great screen, but very tiny. 550d has better video modes too.

Have they improved the Microphone over the FZ28? I heard FZ28 that it made muffled and funny noises on video. I notice on my FZ30 from 2005 it makes crunchy noises when I take videos. Can you use this camera or FZ28 to do uploads to You Tube? This is for a gift, anything else comparable out there? Was thinking of Nikon coolpix P90?? This if for a guy with bigger hands! Need feedback please. I think point and shoot slim camera's will get lost in his hands and drop!!! OMG decisions!! Thx:)

you can see how big it is from the clip

its not havy... little bit more than a normal small camera, for example lumix tz7

for its battery life i can say that the battery is very durable... you can take alot pictures around 640 pictures per 1 battery life thats really alot. it last all day of taking pictures : )

buy one... Its the best one from the mid-proffessional class : )

I have the fz28 as a double to my dslr,well,compared to any dslr the panasonics are very compact and light. But I guess you already need a camera bag,if you don't wanna scratch the screeen,and since the camera doesn't fit into your pocket) battery life on fz28 is grest,never had any complains,she says,here it's supposed to be even better. Don't see a reason not to buy this baby))))

yes it supports raw. also you can capture a picture in both raw and jpg per one shot :) .

the video`s with included STEREO sound. the microphones are just on top of the flash. there are 2 mics and thats why the sound is stereo.

also yes. you can zoom 18 times while filming.

Nice, i might consider since i sold my fz28 more than what i paid for, very few camera can sold higher then first listed lol.

FZ28 is nice overall camera, but definite has cons, such as slow focus, especially during video mode. and lame mono sound, seems like fz-35 improve most area of fz28. If i get fz-35 i would paid very little for a nice upgrade not to mention with new warrantly :p

I've seen the FZ35 autofocus. It's really a lot faster than the FZ28. Sound caption is great too.
