  • Who is that grandma?

  • @kobukuroboy1season3 The daughter of George Sisler, who previously held the single season hit record of 257.

  • @DJDriveus I noticed that it was one of Geroge Sisler's family, it is just that i wasnt sure if it was his wife or someone else.

  • Fucking awesome to see such an amazing feat achieved by such an awesome player and person.......nice to see such a humble person enjoy the success they rightfully deserve and have worked so hard for

  • what a waste. Ichiro needs to play on a championship team.

  • @soupy2

it ain't a waste, he is loyal to the team who took a shot at him. And loyalty to the Japanese is number one. I'm all for him staying with this team.

  • best baseball player in history.....no doubt about it.....200 hits 10 years in a row? holy mother of god......speed, fielding, contact, arm, power, and definitely the best mental player in the game....im so proud to be japanese

  • @KyleKizu I'm Korean but I have so much respect for the man, because he plays the game with all of his heart and humility, characteristics that so many athletes seem to lack these days. Much Respect.

  • this guy was born to play baseball

  • Ichiro is ma fav athelete ever...

  • this guy is the all time star hitter and fielder no doubt about it

  • best complete player in the game. will play 10 years less then pete rose (who's whole career was in North America and who played in to his 40's to pass ty cobb) and still have comparable numbers, one of the most underrated outfield arms, comes to play 100% every game and nothing but speed. Cubs fan, and don't like the mariners but this guy is incredible

  • Last name: EVER First name: GREATEST

  • @jantram like a sprained ankle boy he ain't nothing to play with

  • Ichiro is the only reason I bother to follow the Mariners.

  • @10kzebra Lol same here...

  • Lol!

No, there are many records in Baseball, however it can be said without much fear of arguement that Ichiro is the greatest hitter of them all!

The only player to have 9 straight 200+ hit seasons (and that's also 9 straight from his rookee season!!)

2nd fastest to 2000 MLB hits all time

Only "Inside the Park" HR in All-Star history

Tbh the only battling record he hasn't broke is Joe's consecutive hitting streak but I wonder if that'll ever be broken now???

  • I don't know much about baseball, but he's the laser beam, he got incredible speed, and now he breaks the hits record. Does that mean he's the best player ever?

  • @Royalge

Unfortunately, many people write him off because he doesn't have what many people look for: Power/Home Runs. (Although he actually can hit some as seen in his batting practice and in the year where his batting avg dipped)

But other than that, he's the complete package and a four-tool player: He's got an extraordinary arm, amazing fielding skills (9 consecutive gold gloves), one of the best if not the best hitter for average and a great baserunner/stealer (inside the park homer)
