The fact that they implemented a joke in which "Captain Hook" drops his hook a full season before Buster loses his hand is a testament to the brilliance that went into the writing of this series. Right on par with Michael recognizing his home's kitchen cabinets and floor plans in a diorama of Saddam Huessein's palace in George Michael's ethics class on parent-teacher night.

@dybdal I feel like Arrested Development is good the way it is. It doesnt need a movie or another series. Part of what makes it so amazing is that not every scrub in the world watches it and completely rinses all of the jokes. It hasnt suffered from the mainstream comedic virus that plagues other more well known series. Look at Family guy and South Park, ever since theyve become mainstream successes the quality has been going downhill, although I guess South park has always been popular.

It's fantastic how Captain Hook's prosthetic hook falls off; such an awesome running gag (ie. when Buster's turtle's paw falls off after it dies from eating the pot-laden brownies).
