This video gave me an idea for a new type of gameplay. Capture the Core, when a mothership is destroyed, it would leave a core as is at the end of the video, an enemy has to use a ship(s) to capture the core before the player recaptures it into their carrier or shipyard. if the player regains control of the core, there would be an option of summoning another mothership. if the enemy captures the core, the player loses.

@Saladinkaio the mod adds in many new features, including hundreds of new ships, have a look at the forum.. the most current version is 7.4.4, although im not sure there is a trailer. it also adds in crew and reserch tiers (eg, you need to have enough reserch points to reserch other technologies), the two large ships behin the mothership at 0:54 are (on the right) reserch ship and (on the left) crew station. as i said have a look at the forum for more info.. its absolutely fantastic mod :D

But to be more specific a larger selection of ships, more modules, larger tech tree and a huge emphasis on capital ships late game from my gameplay experience.

Mod Complex jsem zkusil a prijde mi pomaly a zbytecne komplikovany. Ne ze bych to nedaval, ale posunulo to hru jinym smerem nez bych chtel, proste nepotrebuju mit z Homeworldu Age of empires s "farmami" co zvysuji mnozstvi posadky.

I've tryed Complex mod and it seems to me slow and unnecessary complicated. I don't mean it's difficult for me, but It moved the game to different direction than I want to, I just don't need to transform Homeworld to Age of empires with "farms" to rise crew capacity.

yep the mothership and the carriers do its like the mother ship is the ....mother ship that builds your entire fleet the only thing you dont build in it is the shipyard that gets ported to you and the big battle crusier's

I like both HW1 and 2 because they both got good parts and if i could mix them together it would get even bettre.

For an example i HW1 you need to refuel all fighter and corvetts in HW they comes in squardrons

this is an excellent game. I wish the pilots voices were more into it. if you know what i mean? In the game, when a fighter pilot says "im hit" he doesnt sound worried. It would also be nice if when they were shot down they would somtimes yell "AAAAHHHHHHHHH! (static)"

this mod is absolute shite-not so i have been playing ALL the homeworld 2 mods for years-this is by far the best , dont like research station play the other side -idiot- if you want to play a good mod this is it , multi player bum rushes are nuked in this mod its hard to wipe out any player making for a realistic space warfare game , added to that a choice of several upgrades or combinations on capital ships its more realistic also that a few squadrons cant easly destroy a capital ship

this mod is a lot better than the star wars mod, it add more rules, a slower pace, more ships, and you actually have to get the pilots and officers for your ships, all the star wars mod does is switch the ships and it makes the capital ships way to durable
