The address usually shows up on the computer when you dail 911, at the same time the police can listen to the call and the number will appear on their cumputer also, They don't always ask for it. When you dail 911 as you are talking, the police, Fire Dept, Meds etc are already in route. They'll listen so they'll know who needs to respond.
if its from a landline, and you call 9-11, theres caller i.d. so they would send them to the address... if from a mobile/cell called i.d would still apply,

The address usually shows up on the computer when you dail 911, at the same time the police can listen to the call and the number will appear on their cumputer also, They don't always ask for it. When you dail 911 as you are talking, the police, Fire Dept, Meds etc are already in route. They'll listen so they'll know who needs to respond.

Emergency calls are tracked they know once you call. I suppose they just ask for the address to make sure it's the right location or unless assistance is needed somewhere else...Just like if a lil kid calls 911 then hangs up you have cops banging at your door.
