Real reason to watch Lost

If you haven't seen Battlestar Galactica I would recommend that over Fringe. There are 2 shows in my time that have really captivated me and they are Lost and BSG.

@RussianMuffinMonster I had the same problem. Lost sure didn't make learning at school any easier (emphasis on AT SCHOOL). By the end of class my notebook pages would be filled with character names and numbers - THE numbers - along with the show's title written everywhere.

The journey and NOT the destination. I couldn't agree more. Television as a form LENDS ITSELF to serialized, mythological storytelling! Why won't anyone else DO this kind of story? ...Because it requires an ending so we know what we're watching is actually important to an actual STORY and not an neverending NONstory, and because "cash cows with endings" is a concept the Suits don't understand (unless blackmailed the way Darlton did). Cash cows are usually kicked, beaten, dragged, then shot.

Gathering to watch Lost with my friends each week for years I will surely miss, but I wish our gatherings were like yours. We just sat on the couch and pretend to be to hip to comment..lol

I know this sounds retarded but try watching Battlestar Galactica. It's not as gay as it sounds (I swear) & it will give you help if you are still withdrawing. It certainly helped us! Plus there are many side boobs and sex scenes.

V is missing the single most important thing that drew viewers to LOST... the powerful story of characters... that way if nothing happens in the battle of the visitors and humans.. there is no V
