I personally have always prefered Paul Di'Anno over Bruce Dickinson, that said though I wish Paul would dedicate more time to his own material instead of on the two albums he did with Maiden. seriously he has like a very small amount of his own material released and about a hundred different compilations of those old Iron Maiden songs. And from what I can find on youtube most of his live sets consist primarily of songs from Iron Maiden and Killers.

Bruce's voice has lowered naturally with age. He doesn't hit the high notes like he did when he was 24, but he doesn't have to, he still has great operatic range that suits the current bands style perfectly. Dianno is these days a musical non-entity who is relying on his past association with the band to make a buck, it's sad.

The Number of the Beast was the album that changed it all. Hallowed Be Thy Name is one of the most epic rock songs ever made. The Album was the best piece of Heavy Metal, and the one with the most influence on the later metalscene. And yes, actually blaze is today a way better vocalist than Di'Anno.
