Around 4:57 he is SO right...a problem with democracy is that people are stupid and misinformed, and the government purposefully does its best to facilitate that so that when people vote, they will vote for the stupid shit...
The bailouts started under Bush and are unconstitutional. They allowed failed businesses to thrive instead of letting them take responsibility for their own failure. CEOs and business criminals all retired early as a reward for their failure. Good job George W. Bush!

You have a financial crisis because Americans do not understand the concept of spending within their means; hence the boats and RV's in driveways, big screen tv's, revolving credit cards, stop buying stuff!

Simple solution. Take the filthy Jew bankers out of the equation - which would prevent this bailout bullshit from happening in the first place, enforce Monopoly laws - which would allow small businesses to flourish, enforce taxation without representation laws, eliminate the IRS and the DEA, initiate REAL investigations into government sponsored atrocities, and inside of 6 months, this country would once again be what it once was, and better.
I totally agree that the government needs to butt out and let the market correct itself no matter how bad it gets. The capitalist sstem is design to correct itself.
If $40 billion is given to the 300 million American Citizen, each would receive $100,000. That is per person. Would you spend if you were given so much money? So who drives the economy? Who spends the money to save America? Also, watch The Obama Deception.

I believe you may have misplaced a decimal point. It would actually be $133.33 per person. BTW The Obama Deception is a very captivating piece of work. Absolutely terrifying if true. But I'm skeptic of Alex Jones.

Ron Paul is a joke a man who denies evolution and global warming. Believes a system of private tyrannies that over throws all the advancements the citizens of this country have fought and died for would be a great achievement. The American libertarian movement is a joke and Ron Paul is joke as well.
There are certainly nasty private companies. Fortunately, I am not forced to do business with them. Not so with the government, they are ready and willing to send a SWAT team. Ron Paul is not a joke at all. Even if he is wrong about evolution or global warming (I don't think he is) neither of those issues are in any way related to the erosion of our Constitution and the bankrupting of our nation.
What's wrong with him denying evolution? Can you prove it? And global warming? Are you serious? You need to get your "facts" straight, because it sounds like you have no idea what you're talking about.
They are not "scientific fact." First these scientists say "OMG GLOBAL WARMING!!111!" Now, the opposite is true, the earth is actually cooling, so now these scientist come out and say "OMG CLIMATE CHANGE!!!111!" Seriously, make up your minds, you cant have it both ways. Global warming is one of the biggest shams made up as "scientific facts."
First off, google "scientists denying global warming" and see for yourself how 31000 qualified scientists themselves have signed a petition relaying that "global warming" and temperature changes are in no way the cause of human irresponsibility. Then google "sunspots" to get an education on how climate changes due to atmospheric density levels and how the heat of the sun permeates these spots to excessively heat our environment.
Stop believing what politicians like Al Gore say.Believe FACTS.
John Stossel's reports are littered with misinformation and shoddy journalism. Every report he has done has been studied and found to contain lies deceptive editing and sometimes fabrication of scientific evidence. Hes even been forced to publicly apologize for his misleading tactics on air. Stossel is an American libertarian which in the U.S. sense of the term means handing over power to completely unaccountable private tyrannies. Citizens would lose all meaningful power over the country.
The error that prompted the apology was mostly due to the miscommunication between ABC producers and the scientists who tested organic produce. I believe they were mistakenly asked to look for carcinogens instead of Bacterias (more on Stossel's first book).
The scientists generally agree with the gist of that reporting, that the benefits of organic produce vs. non organic produce is overrated. No additional health benefits, not all that cleaner since they use manure as fertilizers.
(John Stossel) "....so is all this spening going to work?"
(Interviewed) "I hope".
What kind of answer is that??? These people in Washington want you and I to depend on them for EVERYTHING. Don't be fooled people. The government does not care for you.
Every economic book I've ever read all have one thing in common.
Since people make up communities which make up counties which make up states which make up the nation, then what is good for the individual is good for nation. Meaning you must live within your means and so must the nation. Individuals must not get too far in debt and neither should the nation.
ok realistic example, lets say you are a married couple and have $100,000 in debt, would you go on and spend another $100,000 to get yourself out of the debt you are in? NO, you would look to credit counselors, debt consultants and other things. Why then is our government adding trillions more to our $14 trillion of debt? We need to produce a way out of this, not buy it or print billions of dollars for this it simply does not work, doesn't take a genius to figure that out
As long as people continue to support Democrats and Republicans, nothing is ever going to change. There is not a single difference between the 2 parties, they both want to spend enormous amounts of money that our country doesn't have. Keep the government out of the free market economy and it will correct and take care of itself. This spending bill is just business as usual and an enormous waste of money. YOU CAN NOT PAY OFF DEBT BY SPENDING MORE MONEY!!
The Bush administration put into action more regulation of financial markets and banks than any administration since Nixon's, which had the most since FDR. Anyone who thinks Bush was even remotely laissez faire is going entirely by Republican stereotypes, not actual facts.
3:43 this guy has no clue what he is talking about, for evey $1 we send to fix are roads it put $1.35 back into the systum and it also fixes the the roads. really its sad they this group of people dont understand that own line of work.
you mean that BS the GOP said about the bill. sorry but in the end of the day if we dont spend the money now to fix what should have been fixed in the 80's it will cost us a lot more. the funny thing is what puts the most money back into the systum is food stamps at $1.55+ for every $1. the simple fact is it was need and its law and there is nothing you can do about it.
Mhook, what are you talking about? There is no CBO report? Which CBO report are you referring to that does not exist or was made up by the GOP? CBO publishes many reports. Please be specific.
What is your source that shows the stimulus will put $1.35 back for ever $1.00 spent on roads and $1.55 for every $1.00 on food stamps? Where do you get your data?
He doesn't even seem to understand the difference between the stumulus package and the bailout. They are two separate systems. I especially love when he assembles economists who oppose the stimulus package, and then asks for a a show of hands who opposes the stimulus package. Sadly, he should put down his megaphone and let the economists talk more.
Haha! I have a 100 000 Deutsch Mark of post WWII. Some jack ass brought it home in Canada, thinking that one day it could have some value... but still today, it only historically valuable...
Inaction? Who was at the forefront of pushing Fannie and Freddie? Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Harry Reid, Charles Rangel and oh yeah the Messiah himself, Obama. The Republicans were calling for investigations and no one listened. Wonder why? We need a true conservative to not spend money we don't have. Not print and spend...
A majority of Republicans voted FOR those regulations. Look it up in the Congressional Record. People, really, as long as we blame one party or the other for the Central Planning, we fall for the scam. BOTH parties are big spending, big Government central planners when you look at what they DO (not at what they say) the only conservative man that votes the way he talks (Dr. NO) Ron Paul, the Republicans kicked him.
All you idiots that think this government is acting in haste and unnecessarily have conveniently forgotten what eight years of total INaction by a Republican administration has gotten us into. Laissez Faire doesn't work when someone is drowning. PULEEEEZ try to reighn in your ideological knee jerks, jerks, and admit Obama's on the case.
Facts: we got more regulations under bush. Laissez Faire means leave them be. More regulations is NOT Laissez Faire. The Federal Government regulates EVERYTHING at micro management levels. Central Planning is the enemy, and BOTH Parties believe the Government can plan everyones lives better than they can do it themselves. (hint, Central Planners regulation caused the mortgage meltdown)
Central Planners regulation caused the mortgage meltdown. They have to use the Constitution as toilet paper to do it. Where does it say the Federal Govt. gets to regulate toilets, or handicapped entrances? These are powers PROHIBITED the Federal GOvt. Only States can do that crap. Central Planners will force a farm kid in Iowa to learn the exact same things a city kid from New York. They have taken over everything.
Terrorism. Global warming. Economy. Scare, scare, scare, scare. The politicians say, just give us all the money and don't ask questions. We can't even wait for the lesser one-celled congressmen to read the bills. The leaders of the leader say, just sign on the line. Did some Messiah say all bills will be on the internet for five days before they are voted on? Well forget that. Can't wait even for a weekend. Unless the bill is already passed. Then the Messiah can wait to sign it.
They all are! Seriously! I am not joking! Either they know they are ripping us off and screwing humanity or they are just brainwashed by the system! Either way I don't want either party continually ruining my country!
Last week, Obama brazenly gave a speech about earmark reform just after he quietly signed a $410 billion spending bill that had about 9,000 earmarks in it. He denounced Bush's habit of disregarding pieces of laws he didn't like, so-called signing statements, then issued one himself.
In an absolute jaw-dropper, Obama told business leaders, "I don't like the idea of spending more government money, nor am I interested in expanding government's role." Say WHAT?
You get what you vote for, that's for sure. You should have voted for Ron Paul. Peter Schiff would be in charge of the treasury, and the FED would be disolved by now.
All the politicians once again are repeating fear-based talking points like robots from hell. They either don't know didley squat about economics or they know exactly what they are doing.....either way these DEMONublicans are dangerous and we need to claim our states' sovereignty.
Americans already rue the day they voted for Socialist Bush and his socialist minions. Nationalized AIG, airline security, new entitlements, prescription drug bennefit, biggest growth and spending and debt ever in history. (has Obama outspent bush yet?) You people had your chance to vote for Ron Paul. You blew it.
Well, what do you call it? It IS Socialism when you push for and sign a "prescription drug benefit" - It IS socialism when the Government BUYS insurance companies. When you confiscate property "for the state" without just compensation, when you grow and expand Government power into every tiny detail of everyones lives, No child left behind, FDA, more central planning than ever before etc... My point, is that both parties are equally socialist.
You are an idiot if you don't realize he tripled the size of the federal government. Socialism is taking money by force to achieve political or social goals, Bush did that a lot.
Our country has been going down the socialist road for many years but to say republicans and democrats are equally socialist is absurd. Democrats are the party of special interests and socialist giveaway programs. The republican party is the party of self reliance and self responsibility and in past years cut welfare programs. Democrats promote welfare and government dependency. I voted for Ron Paul and would again but I won't make up statistics to make Ron Paul look better than he is.
You are only half right. The welfare reform bill WAS part of newt's contract with America, but without Democrats voting for it and BILL CLINTON signing it, it would not have passed. FACT: no Republican President has EVER signed any bill reducing ANY social program, or ANY spending whatsoever for that matter. You can't find one bill, one republican president has signed, that actually reduced the amount being spent (reducing the "planned" increase doesn't count) on ANYTHING. just the facts.
Five Hundred Million ??? Forget confusion, the political class doesn't even know how to fucking count.

There are 50 states, and I am sure there are 100,000 cities in US. And taxes were lowered then the spending would soar sky high.

The American libertarian movement is a joke and Ron Paul is joke as well.
begbie791 2 years ago
There are certainly nasty private companies. Fortunately, I am not forced to do business with them. Not so with the government, they are ready and willing to send a SWAT team. Ron Paul is not a joke at all. Even if he is wrong about evolution or global warming (I don't think he is) neither of those issues are in any way related to the erosion of our Constitution and the bankrupting of our nation.
ganglefest 2 years ago 2
What's wrong with him denying evolution? Can you prove it? And global warming? Are you serious? You need to get your "facts" straight, because it sounds like you have no idea what you're talking about.
BoundariesOverthrown 2 years ago
Yeah, it's pretty much scientific fact.
amartin7889 2 years ago
They are not "scientific fact." First these scientists say "OMG GLOBAL WARMING!!111!" Now, the opposite is true, the earth is actually cooling, so now these scientist come out and say "OMG CLIMATE CHANGE!!!111!" Seriously, make up your minds, you cant have it both ways. Global warming is one of the biggest shams made up as "scientific facts."
BoundariesOverthrown 2 years ago 3

Citizens would lose all meaningful power over the country.
begbie791 2 years ago
The error that prompted the apology was mostly due to the miscommunication between ABC producers and the scientists who tested organic produce. I believe they were mistakenly asked to look for carcinogens instead of Bacterias (more on Stossel's first book).
The scientists generally agree with the gist of that reporting, that the benefits of organic produce vs. non organic produce is overrated. No additional health benefits, not all that cleaner since they use manure as fertilizers.

We need to produce a way out of this, not buy it or print billions of dollars for this it simply does not work, doesn't take a genius to figure that out
cumminsturbofan101 2 years ago
As long as people continue to support Democrats and Republicans, nothing is ever going to change. There is not a single difference between the 2 parties, they both want to spend enormous amounts of money that our country doesn't have. Keep the government out of the free market economy and it will correct and take care of itself. This spending bill is just business as usual and an enormous waste of money. YOU CAN NOT PAY OFF DEBT BY SPENDING MORE MONEY!!

3:43 this guy has no clue what he is talking about, for evey $1 we send to fix are roads it put $1.35 back into the systum and it also fixes the the roads. really its sad they this group of people dont understand that own line of work.
masterhook 2 years ago
The multiplier is above a buck, huh?
Prove it.
Tell me why the CBO has found that the stimulus will be a net-negative due to the crowding out effect.
And tell me why we don't take advantage of this magical multiplier all the time. Does this mean we should never stop passing stimulus bills?
Wormtail81 2 years ago 2
you mean that BS the GOP said about the bill. sorry but in the end of the day if we dont spend the money now to fix what should have been fixed in the 80's it will cost us a lot more. the funny thing is what puts the most money back into the systum is food stamps at $1.55+ for every $1. the simple fact is it was need and its law and there is nothing you can do about it.
masterhook 2 years ago
No, I mean the independent CBO report. Look it up, and get your facts straight.
Wormtail81 2 years ago 2
thats the same one the GOP keep putting out there, it was not a full report or anything like, it was really just made up by the GOP and debunked.
masterhook 2 years ago
You are saying that the GOP fabricated a report, fed it to the CBO, and that this report was debunked? Who by, again?
Wormtail81 2 years ago
the GOP made up that there was a report, there was no report, and it was debunked by cnn, msnbc and almost every one but fox
masterhook 2 years ago
Mhook, what are you talking about? There is no CBO report? Which CBO report are you referring to that does not exist or was made up by the GOP? CBO publishes many reports. Please be specific.
What is your source that shows the stimulus will put $1.35 back for ever $1.00 spent on roads and $1.55 for every $1.00 on food stamps? Where do you get your data?
sweetness1226 2 years ago
He doesn't even seem to understand the difference between the stumulus package and the bailout. They are two separate systems. Sadly, he should put down his megaphone and let the economists talk more.

crusher0427 2 years ago
A majority of Republicans voted FOR those regulations. Look it up in the Congressional Record. People, really, as long as we blame one party or the other for the Central Planning, we fall for the scam. BOTH parties are big spending, big Government central planners when you look at what they DO (not at what they say) the only conservative man that votes the way he talks (Dr. NO) Ron Paul, the Republicans kicked him.

"Laissez Faire doesn't work when someone is drowning."
You call the BUSH administration "laissez faire?" Do you even know what those words mean?
Evil0tto 2 years ago 2
Facts: we got more regulations under bush. Laissez Faire means leave them be. More regulations is NOT Laissez Faire. The Federal Government regulates EVERYTHING at micro management levels. Central Planning is the enemy, and BOTH Parties believe the Government can plan everyones lives better than they can do it themselves. (hint, Central Planners regulation caused the mortgage meltdown)
xkjdhdglksh 2 years ago
Central Planners regulation caused the mortgage meltdown. They have to use the Constitution as toilet paper to do it. Where does it say the Federal Govt. gets to regulate toilets, or handicapped entrances? These are powers PROHIBITED the Federal GOvt. Only States can do that crap. Central Planners will force a farm kid in Iowa to learn the exact same things a city kid from New York. They have taken over everything.

SomnambulantZzzz 2 years ago
Well, what do you call it? It IS Socialism when you push for and sign a "prescription drug benefit" - It IS socialism when the Government BUYS insurance companies. When you confiscate property "for the state" without just compensation, when you grow and expand Government power into every tiny detail of everyones lives, No child left behind, FDA, more central planning than ever before etc... My point, is that both parties are equally socialist.
xkjdhdglksh 2 years ago
You are an idiot if you don't realize he tripled the size of the federal government. Socialism is taking money by force to achieve political or social goals, Bush did that a lot.
CorrosionX3 2 years ago
Now you are changing the subject. Typical response when you can't back up your own argument.
SomnambulantZzzz 2 years ago
Our country has been going down the socialist road for many years but to say republicans and democrats are equally socialist is absurd. Democrats are the party of special interests and socialist giveaway programs. The republican party is the party of self reliance and self responsibility and in past years cut welfare programs. Democrats promote welfare and government dependency. I voted for Ron Paul and would again but I won't make up statistics to make Ron Paul look better than he is.
SomnambulantZzzz 2 years ago
You are only half right. The welfare reform bill WAS part of newt's contract with America, but without Democrats voting for it and BILL CLINTON signing it, it would not have passed. FACT: no Republican President has EVER signed any bill reducing ANY social program, or ANY spending whatsoever for that matter. You can't find one bill, one republican president has signed, that actually reduced the amount being spent (reducing the "planned" increase doesn't count) on ANYTHING. just the facts.
