Thts peanut prices, england are paying about £6 a gallon. Ur gallon works out nearly the same price as our litre, given the difference in currency aswel.
grrr.. I hate yt stupid comment problems... Anyway I like this vid for two reasons, one your awesome dry humor, and two you actually have a great point, I live in NY, I haven't driven in over 4 years now.. yeah.. less deaths too right?
I am all for more public transpo. only issue, more expensive plane flights to see my fam... hmmm
I wounder when will we(the US) open up the Oil Reserve, we got 22 years worth of oil there (and thats if we get completely cut of from the oil suppliers [for 22 years]) so 7 dollar is not likely....
The moneygrabbers drive SUVs, ride in stretch limos, private jets, yachts, live in houses the size of hotels. And war? 50,000 gallons of fuel for one war plane. Stop downing workingclass consumers and thier SUVS, point your finger at the REAL FUEL wasters. Wake up, we are heading for youve got your Kings and your peasants. Crowded Mass transit will work great to spread avian flu virues during flu season, with H7, H3N2, H5N1 circulating this winter. Store food and water now.
Yeah, when you think about it, the gas problem is a good thing for the environment, but what do you do for the people that have to commute 20 to 30 miles per day just to get to work? We certainly aren't walking that... and in my town, I'm not particularly comfortable with walking more than ten blocks for anything, and since I've just learned how to ride my bike, I'm really paranoid about biking somewhere along the city streets...
Bullshit, maybe they should start thinking off alternative energy and i am not talking about wind or solar. carbon emissions do nothing to the planet maybe they should stop dumping TONS of heavy metals and radiation into out lakes rivers and oceans and pumping our fish and plant full of mercury and cancer. You wanna be green go do green, but don,t listen to these rich white assholes (Al Gore) who don't give a shit about you or the planet.
Man, you made me grateful to have a CTA card and not a car key this morning, thanks. As much as I grumble about the inefficiency and unclean rides/passengers of the CTA, I am lucky I have it. :)
The blog idea isn't a bad one. There are several people I'm linked to over there that do it.
I'm paying roughly 3.85 a gallon for regular here outside of Dallas. I'd be all for public transpo (I used it quite a bit in Ca) but there is no public xport where I am now. No alcohol, no thrift stores, and no bus. Apparently these things are to keep the 'undesirables' out of my small town.

I've cut out necessary trips as well. Instead of going out to buy food, I now eat my own flesh.
It's my own personal recycling program.

Sounds like someone was listening to Gogol Bordello, when they said "Think Locally, Fuck Globally."
Due to our gas prices, my town's crappy bus system has reduced its hours and upped prices.
Once again its never on time, I just wonder if it will be shut down again.
Keep on writing and I will keep on reading.
