  • LOL at when they try to take off his coat and they start fighting over it and seamus is like FGS i'll just get it off!

  • i think he shouldve been joseph, because despite people think joseph is a lovely innocent character, to be truthful he's actually very arrogant, pompous and nasty to his brothers. i do adore lee mead, but seamus would probably have done a better portrayal.

dont go all angry to me people! the reason we comment is BECAUSE of our opinions.

  • hmmmm...oozing arrogance and an unstable note at the closing of the song don't go well together...its better to either be humble with unstable notes, or arrogant and sing perfectly.

  • @GNH1934 what are you talking about, oozing of arragance and unstable notes, what are your credentials!!!!The moment I heard the last line he had changed I knew he had been offered a contract "I have been promised a show of my own" did this not say it all. My daughter watched him in Evita not long after, she said he was fantastic...........you are so narrow minded to think he left the show when he did, sang the words that he did and had nowhere to go.

  • Kinda glad Seamus got kicked off early because if he hadn't of he'd never have been given the role of Che in Evita UK tour in which he was spectacular. I was in contact with him regularly whilst he was in Evita and was such a kind, supportive person who inspired me to follow my acting career. He had one of the better voices but in my opinion too gooder voice Joseph which is at best poppy. Love the show but it is the panto of Webber and doesn't require outstanding voices like JCS and Phantom.

  • Also the changing of the lyrics was admitedly abit off but hey he was kicked off and annoyed which is understandable but Bill Kenwright who was on the panel has already offered him Evita so he really didnt care. Perfect outcome for all parties and I saw the show 3 times and he was one of the best Che's in Evita's history obviously not beating Mr Essex.

  • Epic Seamus.

  • brilliant :)

  • Honestly you guys are being kind of judgmental. for the most part, you people really don't know him or what went on in the show. there is in fact a lot that you don't see on anything like this. Whether or not he had reason to be angry, all this really shows is that he has character. So he didn't just burst out crying or smile in everyone's face. so what? And although I personally am not going to pretend to know a lot about stuff i just don't, his voice didn't sound bad to me.

  • @norwegiangrumblybird Yes! we don't really know if the shadowy puppet masters are real

  • A first class example of putting the cock amongst the tw*ts.

  • Antony who went before Seamus sang this a LOT better thank you very much!

And "a show on my own"? Arrogance, arrogance, arrogance

  • 1:41 - you can hear someone say jesus christ!

  • Tosser! The Musical

  • Can't help but watch this and just think.... Prick. you can see that only a few of the Josephs liked him, but at the end of the day, he couldn't sing well enough on the night, the public hated him - he got voted out - goodbye you arrogant bugger!

  • some of them must have been thinkin u knob at the end of that lol, he had a gd voice but was just a bit too arrogant.

  • Well I stand corrected and I apologise to Seamus, you and anyone else who is either a friend or a fan.I guess with a TV show,it's impossible to tell what a person is really like, and the guy does have a great voice

  • Still can't get over the fact that the arrogant bloke sang those lyrics. Not surprised no one's heard of him since.People in show bussiness don't mind confidence but arrogance puts producers, directors etc right off

  • @oysterbend actually he is a lovely, sweet ,talented and kind man and a complete pleasure to work with.

After that show he did get what he was promised he went onto play Che in Evita and then toured around the country with the show and that's when i met and worked with him on stage for 3 weeks and he is a very talented genuine man

so how about before judging someone you don't know you look into the truth.

  • @MickiThatsMe But he seems like such a cunt.

  • @Revelian1982 Trust me if someone is a cunt i'm normally the first to point it out but he really was lovely

  • @oysterbend he's in evita.... as the narrator....

  • 4 TIMES

CHRIS C - NO PAT ON SHOULDER

JOHNDEEP - NO PAT ON SHOULDER

ANTONY - NO PAT ON SHOULDER (BUT A HUG AT END)

SEAMUS - NO PAT ON SHOULDER

    oh lee :(

  • Well your not gonna get a show of your own with that pitchy exit... haha yep he was really arrogant.

  • lol - the bowing at the end symbolised his cockyness

  • I don't think so he was crap!hehehe

  • did he ever get that show he was promised?

  • So glad he went..what an arrogance! "a show of my own" unbelievable!

  • Didn't one the judges say "what the fuck?!" right at the end?

  • @matsocool didn't hear anything

  • @matsocool when?

  • angry man!!! he came 8th/ like 29000 people who audtioned

  • Seamus was my favourite, was sad when he went.

  • Its a pity..he was actually quite good. but changing the lyrics to 'I have been promised a show of own'...what a dick xD

  • urgh, i remember watching this and thinking what a douch this guy was - proof that he can't take direction by messing up the set routine 3 times - who would ever hire him kowing he could at any moment do his own lame thing that doesn't even make sense (eg not rhyming I with die)! great TV though!

  • I have been promised a 'show of my own' ?

    pfftt.

  • aww poor Seamus, it looked like he was fighting when they were trying to get the coat the coat off of him. LOL

  • oooh.

lee didn't give him a pat on the shoulder in the beginning, he just kept walking. and then at .35 giving him a bit of a glare! bad blood between them? i think so.

  • @smileyourperfect cause seamus stole lees hairstyle :D

  • What the fuck are you limeys up to now, eh? Jesus I thought we were that bit of culture that ran down gods leg over here in america... my GOD! Next you'll be getting in a hussy tussle over David Hasselhoff with the fricken Krauts for chrissakes! Please line up these people with gags & hankies next time they want to 'perform'.... Although that said I WOULD so like to see Keanu Reeves up there trying that... hehehehe! x)

  • @NarcolepticDogstar im sorry but what the hell are you on about?

  • There is nothing wrong with him, he just had a huge ego.

  • HA! HA! This is a CLASSIC moment!

  • Shutup everyone That is saying bad things about him that is how he is i bet your weird like him one way or another so shutup

  • he would be great if they ever did tommy from the who ever agin

  • Why does everyone has so much hate for the ending? I thought it was really cheeky and charming :) Doesn't make him arrogant, he's better than those annoying people who break down in tears and think their life is over because they're out of the competition. I think it's nice he had the confidence to stand there and say "Yeah, I haven't got this job, but I'll be back..."

  • Good god. That is just arrogance beyond belief. Its people like this that give our profession a bad name. The other guy was better and this song is performed very badly by a very very very sore loser. What a c**t

  • He's ace, love him!

  • And he was fantastic as Che in Evita

  • I still like Seamus! He was good in my opinion .

  • hes soo annoying escpecially at the end

    show of my own

    what a loonatick!

  • but he had been, bill and andrew had already offered him che is evita!!! lol!xxx

  • ah my god i remember this being on lol i cried when craig went out cos it was so sad when the others took the coat off him, sad being that i am

  • He was quite angry here. And he performed the song very bad!

  • this was amazing... He really did a great job in this last song.

  • He should have well won and I loved his improvised ending to "land of my own" his dismissal was worse than Jessie not winning the role of Nancy! Both an OUTRAGE

  • in the sing off seamus did do actullay do better i hate him but just should of got past ben but his song not good if my life were important he didnt say i'd

  • yeah, 0.35 is priceless! doesn't seem that he was too popular among them.

  • And I thought I'd imagined that the first time I saw it. He definitely says show. Wow.

Makes his little tantrum when the coat gets stuck even funnier.

Not sure who pointed it out, but Lee is definitely giving him some stank-eye @ 0:35. Someone was not impressed.

  • wow he was pissed!...it was funny...lol

  • I liked Seamus.

  • Comment removed

  • Legend (Y) x

  • He was rude and arrogant the entire show. Age was not the issue for me; just didn't have a good attitude. Changing the lyrics and making the 'conspiracy' comment were just bad.

  • wot a fukin cock , a show of my own hahaha the shite basturd

  • I know right, when he ALW chose ben the expression on his face was priceless, I was just like HA!

  • He was a sore loser and only hurt his chances to get on any Weber production later. He just had NO charisma!

  • hahahaha what a legend

  • Could at least have the dignity to sing the right words. Even if it was 'rigged' as he thinks, snubbing Lloyd-Webber publicly is only going to bite him in the rear in the long term. Joseph isn't the only role out there, and Lloyd-Webber wasn't the only director watching this show.

  • You all keep saying he should have gone off with dignity, but I don't see how using humor to keep himself from crying in front of millions people is undignified. Watch his face when he finds out he's been eliminated. He's not taking this easily, he's just keeping himself together in his own way. Yeah, changing the words was probably something he shouldn't have done, but it doesn't make him arrogant or jerkish to have done it. Second; some director must have liked him. He got big part in Evita.

  • How is standing not just on national TV, but KNOWINGLY standing in front of the person who WROTE the words, and intentionally changing them not the ultimate arrogance? I think you give Seamus far too much lenience here. He knew what he was doing.

  • He has an ok voice but just isn't a good as he seems to think. very average

  • geez, one of the best voice talents on the show and he was kicked off just a couple weeks in.

And they sound-byted him so bad, it's not even funny.

    Absolutely rigged.

  • He wasn't as good in the sing off (nasally and surprisingly bland), and nobody liked him.

A flawless vocal is far from being the be all and end all of a performance, and a good tip to succeeding would have been to not make the audience think you're a smug twat. Yea there was a conspiracy all right, Seamus: everybody voted to get you kicked off.

  • A little bit of comedy at the end of the game doesn't make him a smug twat, pheonix. If you notice, Webber wanted someone young. Seamus was 35. As soon as webber decided that was a problem, all the other judges suddenly started making ciritques on him that made no sense. Suddenly they were blatantly editing video of him. It was set up to get him kicked off. And by nobody liked him, who do you mean? The fans or the other Josephs? Because I think you're wrong on both accounts.

  • I don't give a damn what he did at the end, that wasn't what I was saying. All throughout the show he made the audience not like him, and he showed exactly what he was made of when he very ungracefully left the show with the 'conspiracy theory' line.

You may have some delusion of people really liking him, but then despite him being one of the best according to you, nobody voted for him. Forums cheered his departure. Bloggers celebrated the removal.

Oh, and his 'comedy' was smug as hell.

  • I saw him in Evita, he was good

  • He says

"For I have been promised a SHOW of my own"

  • so freaking amazing he never should have gotten thrown off

  • he sings the wrong lines xd

    it's :

if my life were important I

would ask, will i live or die

    lol ;p

although, love the brittish accent. ;d

that counts for every brittain ;D

  • Seamus! You should have won!

  • o guys come on, I thought it was funny as shit.

  • he's got a show of his own no he is in Evita but i didnt like

  • & hes so full of himself.

    stupid twat

  • My thoughts exactly!

  • he messed that up sooo badly. i mean come on, at least leave with a BIT of dignity..

how can u get the words wrong? he obviously didnt take any of it seriouslyy..

  • Lol at Ben's face when they can't get the coat off of Seamus. Bless him, BOOO to seamus

  • lee is better

  • that was bad

  • Ben was like Good it's mine i might switch to green actually Seamus pees on it

  • he cut about 5 pieces of the song he should be

    jailed

  • he just totally embarrassed himself! i mean, the smile and the bow at the end.. you can tell all the others are well happy he's gone. i love ben's grin when seamus throws the coat!

  • Ok grin because he probably thought it was funny. and if they were happy he was gone might have been because he was really good.

  • what happened to him? Did he get a role in anything?

  • He's in Evita now. :)

  • what a cock

  • I hope the BBC gave him a good telling off after that.....

    Terrible

  • He really looks like 2 a Joseph", but I don't think his voice is too great.

  • he is such a little baby....just cuz he got voted off,he has to throw a temper tanrum and trow his coat at whoever took it...baby

  • just come home after seeing Evita

i was in the third row and he's so HOT!! lol

i was impressed by him!!! he was amazing!!!

  • i have also seen him in avita, and he didnt impress me a large amount. i think he was good. but in this video he does come across very stuck up, but i personally think its funny, and he has got a show now so fair play to him!

  • wat a vain spas

  • Beautifull voice!

  • after improinat would aks ITS ID after important u cocky man

LMAO AT EBN hes like yay its mine!

  • WDF A SHOW OF MY OWN? SHOW OFF

  • My friend and I saw Seamus on Friday night in Evita. He was amazing! He is a friend of ours and so we met him for a drink afterwards .Reading past comments on this blog slating him saddened me. The words "don't judge a book by it's cover" spring to mind!! He is such a lovely guy and deserves all the fantastic reviews for his part of Che.

  • He is amaaaaazing!saw him as Che in Evita-UGH AMAAAAZING!

  • if u hate him, why bother watching the video and commenting it? screw it, seamus is hot!!! he shud take more than the damn coat off! bring back the loincloths

  • he is so out of order

  • hes out of tune on the high bits at the end, my freind saw this guy in avita and said he was the worst thing in it, seems abit arragent and cocky to say a show of his own when one person would never make a show anyways!

  • he did say show right i wasnt tripping wasnt i??

  • When I was watching the show, I really thought he was a diva just because he is a singing teacher.

  • hes a prat!

  • what a twat.

  • well said

  • I like him I never saw him but he is good shame he had to go

  • I say fair play to him really! It occurs to me Joseph is by nature kind of arrogant and condesending if you really think about it, and played the right way he could have pulled off the role. Still I just saw Lee Mead in Joseph recently and the right man totally won he was fantastic.

  • He is now starring in Bill Kenwright's (one of the judges)EVITA so he was promised a show of his own!

  • iv just seem him in evita tonight and he was amazing :D

  • I'm seeing him in three weeks in Dublin and I cannot wait.

  • omg i saw him in evita in dublin!!he was amazing!

  • Oh he was terrific - and the rest of the cast were too in Dublin - although I was surprised he sang in an English accent - I was expected them to put on Latino ones, but I guess I've been watching the film too much of EVITA.

  • yeah they were great...I had no comparisons-I haven't seen the movie...I think I had Gemma Atkins as Eva...

  • Oh no I definitely had Louise Dearman - she was on that programme on TV3 - Xposé last night, don't know if you saw it?

  • no,I always miss Xposé :(

    Was she good??

  • what a voice

  • OMG this woz funnie

  • So glad he went.Such a cocky man.Hated him.

Apparantly he is play che in evita. Its my favourite musical aswell :(

  • When a man is acting he cant be cocky! I saw him in evita it is so worth a watch! This was very funny he shouldn't have gone this early i think his talent was overlooked because of his personality

  • Hahaha Ben is hilarious when Seamus can't get the coat off LOL

  • see all the cockyness slapped out of him thank god he went

  • it didnt tho did it and he's in something less gay to show for it

  • he was still cocky, can you hear him at the end of the song "for i have been promised a SHOW of my own" he was expecting to be picked up by some other show.

  • A show of my own!

  • lol how funnie woz dat lol

  • aww i love him, saw him in evita and he was AMAZING!!!!!

  • hahaha did u see ben laughin wen shamey boy coukldnt get his coat off look at 1.09

  • Tho i have a feeling it was actually Seamus being stubborn and not letting them take it off ;P

  • actually they were probably too weak to get the coat off! bunch of nancys the lot of them they should be in this years show!

  • Lol

  • "For I have been promised... a show of my own!" lol made me laugh

Also had to laugh when he couldn't get the coat off. He coped well with it!

  • your mad Lol he jus irritated me but everyone has there own opinion Lol

  • i love how when all the josephs are singing before seamus goes up the stairs they're all singing mumbley and quiet like they don't actually want to sing with seamus!!

oh and he over acts this song!

  • dunno if i fink hes

just enthusiastic or a cocky twat

  • this guys a fuckin prick, ur shit get over urself!

  • i cant believe ur all so upset about something that happened a year ago

  • You are saying we are sad, but your the one who's also looking at this video a year on. Double standards or what? Anyway, we are allowed to like someone, what's so wrong with you that you have to take the piss out of us for it. I think he's got a really great voice, and he's now got a leading role in Evita which i am going to go see him in, so he can't be that bad can he? So why don't you stop being horrible to us, and go find someone to comment on that you do like.

  • actually i wasnt looking at the video i was typing in a song and it came up with this shit. anyway i wasn't critisizing you for lookin at it i was saying its sad that you are still so upset about him losin, and yeah i did like him actually so fuck you

  • well..he did get a show didn't he?

    to be fair

  • wat a dick!

when he couldnt get the coat off ben was laughing ha ha

  • we were all laughing u moron it was the highlight of the series

  • do u all remeber on when joseph met maria when andrew was anouncing seamus having a part in evita and he said to gram 'you remember seamus?' and gram said 'yes, i have been promised a show of my own, that one?' i still laugh about that comment and it was months ago!! xo

  • Hahah what a wanker

  • seamus wasnt smug or a bad loser, actually how is he a bad loser? if youre talkin about his reaction to the coat getting stuck, i think most people would want to get it off quickly not stand there while a bunch of gays attempt to tug it off, he didnt still want to be stood there in his coat on the last line of the song you idiot

  • A show of my own? indeed.

  • mahahaha! seamus is such a bad loser lol.

and it makes me laugh ssooo much when they cant get the coat off lol. ben finds it hilarious too.

but i think seamus deserved to be kicked off, he go too big for his boots to say the least. no1 likes an annoying joseph

  • Smug.
