  • is anyone able to explain to me what the movements in the hands signify,? do they represent an action of something, like does this dance tell a story?

  • @Pschool1: the twirling/or at times you see the hand move from left and right and then its slapped together signifies taking things from the opposite ends and bringing/putting it together (unifying or bridging things together). when a male and female dance together you often them make gestures (ie: turning/spinning around) to the opposite sex to showcase his/her endowment, skills, strength or beauty or at times they flirting or teasing each other.

  • @ethi211 Kete is mostly for men, and its more hyped. Adwoa is much slower and easier to do
