Basaran. Nice Name. I like to think of this guy as an Adamantoise (those turtles from the Final Fantasy games). I had a good Idea for a Gmod, where the BLU team rides him and uses him to wreak havoc on the RED base, until RED flips his lard ass over and shoots the piss out of his forehead. Like Kuromori, this guy is just really tedious.

i love how agro plays a huge role in this fight. i always try to imagine agro distracting the colossus once you get on top of it as it shows in this video...although it seemed as if he was dancing at 4:20

Imagine trying to lure a particularly dim horse to get it to step its left front hoof onto a 3-inch-wide spot of paint. Now imagine that the horse is throwing bombs at you, and you have to outrun the blast radius by riding on a bike with deformed wheels. And the spot of paint keeps disappearing and reappearing every 10 seconds. That's what this is like.

i can see how that can be fun but other then that not much to do like i said earlyer. run from here to there and kill the monster. if there were like animals or creatures inbetween the running and colossus killing part i would like it more. and i agree on the shooter thing. aim, fire, "is it dead yet?", fire again, repeat. it can be more complex then that but thats mostly what you do.

You know, I'm surprised no one's spoofed this game yet. It's a great honor for a game to be spoofed, as it means it's well-known.

Of course, Shadow of the Colossus is hardly a well-known game...but I'm sure something like Rayman Raving Rabbids would do it.

It's pretty well known now.

It's not so much a cult anymore, people are highly anticipating the PS3 production from the development team, and Shadow was rereleased as platinum so it sold over a million + platinum range.

Nevertheless, ask a random person on the street, even a young adult, and chances are they won't be able to tell you what Shadow of the Colossus is about, or even what it looks like.

You can do that with Final Fantasy, or Guitar Hero, Madden NFL, or Sonic the Hedgehog. They'll know what those games are about. But not Shadow of the Colossus.

I know Shadow of the Colossus has a strong fan following, and I know it's a piece of gaming history, but it seems to have been largely forgotten.

I have seen it referenced in the Times as one of the only examples of art in gaming.

If a movie or a song can be called art and the one who directed it or composed it are called artist, then why aren't videogames considered "art"?
