I first heard this at the WORLD club in Austin, Texas 1987! Sixth Street. At least 3 1/2 miles of dance clubs and so forth! Great time to be in my early twenties serving my country! :)
this was the first ever techno song i ever heard in my life, back in 1991 from that moment on i became adicted to this type of music, addiction that last up to today
in those days was techno, (now old school), rave (hardcore) ambient, today hardstyle, aggrotech, power noise.
Used to really like this song when it came out in the late 80's. Now I realize it was one of the first electronica "industrial" songs. It was ahead of its time.
Holy shit. I have finally found this. I couldn't remember the band name and the only lyric I remembered was the new york new york new york. I've spent over 20 years trying to remember and track this down.
I'm 38 and have loved this since it was new. Cool part? I dj still and everyone loves it. and thinks it to be NEW hahaha. Talk about ahead of their time!
@robertsanmiguel I dj daily at Christies Cabaret in N Canton Ohio (so I play a lot of Usher garbage, too) and I spin parties under the name THE LOONEYBIN april 15th at THE OUTPoST in Kent.
All i have to do is close my eyes and listen to this song. In Austin 1996, down 6th street i was 22 years old in a club. Dancing my ass off to this, with my future husband and my friend Debbi. Those were the times. And i still listen to it now. Memories.......
1. Americans-Soviets CCCP 2. New York MCL 3. Houseman Voyou 4. Radiation Lesson Seven 5. Don't let me love T 4 2 6 You can run 3 Times 6 7. Fahrenheit Umo Detic 8. Communicate MCL 9. New York Remix MCL 10. Maggie's Last Party VIM 11. Houseman Remix Voyou 12. You can run Remix 3 Times 6
I was VERY LUCKY! to actually purchase the CD on Ebay. Back in the late 80's, I listened to this album at my best friends house and loved it. The album was called C.C.C.P. Also the cd was also called CCCP and is very rare with 12 tracks which are awesome!. After 24 bids, ended up purchasing it for close to $50.00 and worth EVERY PENNY OF IT!
The drug Extacy just came to the USA & was unknown to authorities at the time . We had bags of these tabs with chunks of heroine in them. called chocolate chips. This was one of the best underground club songs from those days that I remember. Down town Houston underground club : Power Tools & Red Square is where it was going on yo. Authorities have cracked down on most of the good drugs so now kids use house hold chemicals and make shit drugs like meth & extacy that is not real, just speed
