my duty gun is a Model 10 Smithy in 38 Special. And its mostly alot of the older officers that still carry revolvers. but hey im 23. and i want something to go off the moment i need it to. no jamming for me.
Closing one eye is fine for shooting at the range, but in REAL life it will get you killed. I won't harp on using one hand, as that is a standard tactical grip and stance. But, if you cannot dial in a front sight with both eyes open, then you are putting yourself at a great disadvantage if and when you actually NEED to use your firearm.
Now, go get some CLEAN ammunition from federal and study up on your SAFETY and Proper firing technique. Guns don't make you look COOL. They only make you look like a FOOL when you don't know how to use them.
that was not a sig p229. the trigger guard has a finger hook, the sig p229 has a rounded trigger guard without that squarish hook. might be that sig compact .45 though
Silicosys, you may want to take a second look at the most recent generation 229. That is a 229 for sure. I believe you are thinking about the 239, rest assured most people who spend 800 dollars on their firearm know what it is.
Love that echo... like the 1-handed stance. liked the bowling pins as targets xD

Nice Shootin' !!
Don't listen to anybody who says you're doing it wrong.
The MAIN thing is to hit the damn target!!
Good technique means NOTHING if you can't do that!

@jaffijoe you use your sights with both eyes open....?
ThroatSlitta 11 months ago
It kinda does when you're going to actually use the weapon, like in a war or in police work..
But not on a firing range.

His eyes are open (He's an asian!!!)

impressive, considering he fired with one hand and both eyes closed.

Try firing with BOTH EYES open.

Umm, if I put a video up of myself, it would be obvious that I am a male. Unlike the person in this video shooting.

What caliber is that?
lucmon1212 4 years ago
9x19mm im guessing nato? i know the mp's use these as well as m9
skyline3270 4 years ago
Oh, I was wondering about that because I knew someone who was issued it in .357 sig for a service weapon. But that didn't look like .357 Sig.
lucmon1212 4 years ago
ya the 226 (bigger version) comes in .357
skyline3270 4 years ago
ah, cool thanks
lucmon1212 4 years ago
The P229 can come in 9mm, .357SIG, or S&W .40.
A nifty thing about the gun is that you can switch out barrels. You can use the same magazine for .357 and .40 rounds.
I'm pretty sure that is a 9mm.
