Polish isn't that hard to read! Try German, then we'll see! I'm learning Polish and have known how to read it for a year. The "e"'s and the "a"'s with the ogoneks are nasal vowels! (Does French ring a bell?) Język polskiego jest najlepszego! (In Cyrillic Polish: ѭзык полскего ест найлэпшэго!)

Serbian sure isn't Russian now is it? Or Mongolian? Or any of the other 40 or so non-Slavic languages which use the Cyrillic alphabet? Polish is one of the Slavic languages which was meant to be written using Cyrillic.

See, English is a different story, it's Germanic. But the Slavic languages are a different story!

that's right, but you see, cyrillic was created for eastern slavic. we don't use that, so don't quarrel with me. I'm Pole, so I guess I know better. there was a time when for example Stalin wanted us to use cyrillic, but for some reason it didn't work out. find out why, please, and then write here.

Well it's quite ironic because St. Cyril, the inventor of the Cyrillic alphabet, was Bulgarian. And Bulgarian is now a Southern Slavic language, not an Eastern one.

And it wasn't just Stalin that wanted to cyrillicize Polish. Nikolas I of Russia in fact wanted to Cyrillify Polish too. It didn't work out because the orthographies they devised weren't devised correctly. (I'm gonna continue this in another comment)

Only hard for people whose language is faraway linguistically; a Russian person or Czech person would easily pronounce this... same with English; a Polish person wouldn't read English well at all... I had a teacher who has lived in Canada for 20 years and she still says pronounces everything wrongly, it all depends on the person's first native tongue; you could say English is easy, but how come people who learned English say everything wrongly? if it was that easy, people would speak perfectly
