Old Man Lardpork look like the evil Queen of Heart from Disney's animated movie, Alice in Wonderland. And the Indian Chief from Disney's animated movie, Peter Pan. Some face of Old Man Lardpork, look to sound awful and foul. Like T.R. the rooster, he was scared of Lardpork that he will get himself into a stew... So go Leroy the donkey! Saving T.R. the rooster from him!
Chickens are killed all the time. Also, they are usually kept in less humane ways than TR is kept in. Look it up! Think about it the next time you go to KFC or McDonalds for chicken or something or buy chicken. Finally, when chickens are no longer useful, they are killed. It's a fact of life folks. Get over it!
Oh, one thing, a guy with the last name pork raising chickens.
Lardpork is still evil from the rooster's perspective. You could easily turn this story around so far and look at the version where the poor farmers miss out because of their mean animals. That first farmer was just targeting his anger at his animal, which is a common psychological escape method. A prime example of it, in fact.
Hi there, im 32 and ive been looking for this movie for eva, has any1 out there got a copy of it, i can not find it anywhere, i was thrilled just to c this. get back to me pls
Hearing Farmer Lardpork speak (especially when he calls T.R. "bird") made me think he must have been performed by one of Snuffleupagus' performers: Jerry Nelson, Michael Earl, or Martin P. Robinson. As it turns out, an actor named Nick Nichols voiced Lardpork (and Leroy Donkey). He's got a great character voice.
@tubaplayindonkey You have a point, but most of the Snuffy performers weren't active at the time. Michael Earl Davis was still a kid, in fact. The only one who was around was Jerry, who was busy playing T.R. in this scene.
Incidentally, Nick Nichols was in a movie called "Dead Ringers". I haven't seen it, but I happen to know it stars one of my favorite actors: Jeremy Irons. He and Nick make two reasons to see it.
Is it my imagination or does Leroy the donkey sound a lot like Bender from Futurama?

Think they removed TR's eye mechanism when he starred on The Muppet Show or made a different puppet of him?

I think Lardpork's face was used for an Ed Sullivan sketch called "The Glutton"....
And the donkey sounds a little like Bender from "Futurama". :D

Yep. WOW! I thought I was the only one that knew that. lol.

@LaDracul You're right! Lardpork's appearance and appetite WAS based on the "Glutton" character who appeared on "The Ed Sullivan Show"!

It is evil but I'm glad you mention to look it up.
doctorwhoobawooba 2 years ago
Lardpork's evil because he's part of the band of thieves, not because he wants to kill T.R.
So, he's still evil.

it sounded like he was about to start singing "a boy named sue" at one point

This brings back great memories. After watching this again, I'm convinced that T.R. is my favorite of the four main characters.
Thank you for posting. :-)

@tubaplayindonkey,
These villains may be physically hideous but they have the most awesome Louisiana bayou accents.
Love Lardpork's deep angry voice and I especially love how they have Mordecai talking in typical bayou slang.
"Crawlsnarkle tree!"
Always makes me laugh.
