I don't think so. From what it seems like in a bunch of interviews and stuff, Kpop artists don't make much money. The company seems like they get majority of the money and the artists themselves get a regular salary.

Who knows though? I could be totally wrong. Maybe when he terminated his contract, he got royalties, which would more than cover his traveling fees (Hell, he probably doesn't have to work ever again).
