I appreciate it may be a generational thing, as some who played FFX consider FFVII to be so lo-tech as to be virtually unplayable, but it must be said that the storyline of X, and also IX, are merely adaptations and (in my opinion) simplifications of the VII story. I, like virtually all who were introduced to the series by it, consider VII so involving and atmospheric, no subsequent game evoked the same involvement, however much I liked them.

the bad thing about this is that there are an UNBELIEVABLE amount of problems in this story

(right when sin destroys that one wood town, nobody cares and just plays blitzball,

the al bhed protect summoners by killing the summoner's guardians, and BLITZBALL IS COMPLETELY IMPOSSIBLE TO PULL OFF, etc.)

but the great thing is, these are minor, and can be ironed over to make a movie!

I am sick of the crap- they should make a film of FF7 or FFX, making a film with Final Fantasy in the title that bore no relationship to the series was a mad idea, of course it lost money. I am mad for FF but I didn't see it at the cinema cos I was prewarned the plot was bollocks and unrelated to the game. This applies to Resident Evil too: film RE2 and it will piss on any RE film ever made.

There are next to no similarities between the two other than the fact that they are both turnbased RPGs.  the worlds are nothing alike. to all the people saying movies should be made, i agree that it could have a chance to be great, but the way games turning into movies ussaly either has little to no connection to the game which most fans will qq about or it will be exactly like the game, and people will cry that there isnt enough action, because most of the action in the games are by running around fighting and there is not going to be that much in a movie, so i think a movie would just ruin the actual game for alot of people.

In FFX-2 you can see that the faith hasn't dissapeared (dark aeons). Their faith contiued to exist. He managed to gain a lifeform somehow.

That's what I thought it was, but hè... It's just my opinion :P
