what about hammer pounches i used them before in a training match with my friend and he told me to look it up on youtube so i am asking a some what of a opro so are they useful in ground in pound?

i wouldnt use hammer punch for a ground and pound because they are only usfull if the guys sortta out of it or caught off gaurd lets be relistic the guys going to blocking maybe punching himself and hammer punches sortta get you off balance he could easly turn the tables if he knows some judo i would stick with elbows lets you keep your balance and is effective especially if you are a heavier guy

Hammer fists are good for speed... if the persons hands are down and your on-top of him then you could throw some fast continuos hammer fists or if you want power you could load up it hit with BIG hammerfists... but I would recomend using fast hammerfists more... if ur gonna load up you might aswell do an elbow or sometihng

The guy on bottom has his elbows off the mat and up way to high, the guy in mount can just slide up the guys body to secure the mount and make escape that much harder.
