jsteelman1000 go easy on the sarcasm. in fact clapton said he was thinking of johnson's love in vain when he and Duane Alman (who came up with the riff, not Eric) wrote the song.
Hello great vid I saw Eric in Budapest man the stadium was packed my ticket was almost $100.00 about half way up in the benchers I made some films in Budapest check out web site at europeantourvideos com
eric clapton bet the devil his soul that he was a better guitar player than him... he won and when the devil gave him the golden guitar, he didn't accept it because he now had possession over judgement day.. and then he changed the world.
@sweetnpeachy1 bullshit, son house, willie brown and charlie patton were doing it well before, johnson perfected it..da blues go back to slavery days..clapton didn't add to nothing, he jus a spoil white boy..
@JustinChauGuitar Hendrix is a blues guitarist, altough he sounds like psychedelic rock he still played blues. You may check out band called The Dead Weather - they sound nothing like blues but they still play blues, because blues is more about truth and emotions than about what you sound like, you know, it may be a bit confusing but after some time you'll start seeing blues in every good piece of music, which is great in my opinion ;)
I can't believe SRV has not even been mentioned as a profilic blues guitarist. Shame shame. Not saying he's the best, but he's def up there with clapton.
I just read his autography, that's amazing what this man done in his life. He is realy nr.1. with Johnson together. Elvis, Clapton, Johnson. That's my man. I love his music.
@LueyLuvaexthe13th sooo not, i say u better go hear some real blues like albert king , muddy waters, jimi hendrix, howlin wolf, big bill broonzy, and todays buddy guy, claptons good but there are better blues artists
@DanFindling ill admit there r bttr blues guitarists but eric clapton is up there with the top of them...the ppl u mentioned howlin wolf, muddy waters, bb king were his inspirations and jimi hendrix is more of a psychedelic rock type
@fax1717 Ahahah dai ok.

@jsteelman1000 Dude are you serioues??? Layla has nothing to do with Robert Johnson, Layla was a song Clapton made for George Harrison's wife...

@aaronamccoy If not for Johnson, there would be no blues! He died at 27 years old, it's time someone paid him homage!

@MrMaenon conosci un certo R.Johnson?

Sai quanto mi infastidiscono i tuoi insulti? 0.
