@smokinjo65: Story goes something like... While waiting for his fuel cell. The engine builders took his factory gas tank & drilled tiny holes because the fuel system created sooo much vaccuum it would've collapsed in on itself. Looks like it was a stupid idea

ya, Im pretty sure you should be using an ABC fire extinguisher to put that fire out. Water only spreads the gasonline and makes it harder to put out. Many ABC extinguishers are dry chemical ones that dont actually use foam, but water is not a good idea on a liquids fire. notice how the fire gets bigger when they spray water on it, because the gas floats to the top and continues to burn. They should have a 50lb dry chem ABC for situations like that. thats what we have for aircraft maintenance.

Were they using water to put out that fire? One thing I learned from firefighting training is that you never, ever use water on a Class B (combustible liquid) fire; it only spreads the flames. And they were slow to respond, and mostly stood around with their thumbs up their asses when they got there. Incompetent and inexcusable!
