Can you still get tundras with singlecab and short box like this? I been looking on the websites but nothing they only offer the box like that on crewcabs and stuff not single cabs.
Mine wasn't that bad actually. I hear it's a little harder if you have the skid plate though. Mine took about 30 mins for the whole job the first time i did it. Should be quicker the next time...

i see that some of the people are talking about the camshafts issue with the 5.7 V-8 tundras, theres only been 20 out of thousands and toyota are replacing/fixing/checking out the problems. oh and the camshalfts dont explodes, dont know where that information came from.
And another thing. The Tundra costs < 40000 dollars. That's a less than sign. The LIMITED model with leather, a dvd navigation system, etc. is the only version of the truck that costs > 40000 dollars. That's a greater sign (I don't want to cause confusion.) Actually, 401 ft-lbs of torque is not the most of any 1/2 ton out there. GM has a 6.2L smallblock V8 with 417 ft-lbs of torque, 403 HP. All that out of an "old" pushrod, 2-valve engine. Seriously, Toyota, you should be able to get more torque than that out of a 4-valve V8 of this size. You're just barely topping the torque of a 2-valve.
i couldnt find anything on GM 6.2 V-8 i guess they dont offer it. toyota has a TRD blower package that will put you up near the 500hp.the Big brakes and 6speed tranny can handle all.
good truck.. bad gas mileage.. and try towing at an incline.. actually dont try that because you wont be able to do it. my 07 tundra crewmax cant even do it.. only 401 lbs of torque. traded it for a 07 2500 gmc sierra 6.6 diesel alisson transmission 600 + lbs of torque.. if you like towing/camping/boating dont buy that truck.
