  • very well played...i tend to play with the capo too coz i have the issue of having very high strings, so i have to put a lot of pressure if im not capo-ing. do u know how i can remedy that? apart from buying another guitar..

anyway i'm starting to learn this song and thought u did very well.

  • Lower action is the only thing I can think of. Either that or consider playing your guitar detuned by a half-step. That will decrease the tension of the strings.

  • nice one, we almost danced with him when he performed this in singapore weeks ago...

  • Nice one mate...Difficult too

You and my Son Scott seem to TE fanatics

    see him on scottNCGP

He has two Matons both signed by Tommy in Spain this year, his prized possesions!

I have a Martin D45, but not as skilled as you

I met Tommy too, a really nice guy

    Take care, keep at it

  • Thanks, though I'm about to re-record this one for Youtube yet again (4th time). I think I finally have it down right!

Almost everyone who plays acoustic guitar these days is a TE fanatic. I know I am.

  • perfect

  • Aren't you the king at every funny evening with this song? What about the hunt? :)

  • Nice ! I think the capo is not necessary on this tune but it's very good !

  • What I need is a short scale neck. I find it slightly uncomfortable the stretches that Tommy sometimes makes with his fingers/thumb. And the strings are tighter too with a capo, which helps me since I tend to play HARD. Capo-ing it makes it easier, as long as it doesn't affect the overall sound or feel of the piece I'm OK with it.

  • I've been wanting a d03r for a while now, the OM models look very cool, but I'd be worrying about bass response just like you said.

  • I had an OM-03, and it had a nice big bass response

  • Damn i'm so in awe of those who can play like this. By the way, that's a larrivee, or? They're lovely.

  • It is a Larrivee, yes. I love it, plays beautifully, though I do wish it had a little more bass response.

  • This version is much "truer" to the original... you definitely got the groove (as TE would say), I have replaced the other vid with this one in the Acoustic Virtuosity archives. Left you a private note in your inbox. Great pickin', man... thats a bear of a song!
