I Don't Know Why i download it. So Anybody That Looking At My Comment, If You Can Help Me. Please Help Me. I Need Help,So Bad it Just Dont Make No Sence.

  • You have t have a minimum plan of $39.99 to even get the wifi option from TMO, and the option costs $10 a month.

  • wait can u use the nokia 6086 ase just a phone not a wifi phone

  • can u txt through wifi too

  • Yea I'm also confused...ok I have t-mobile to go (prepaid right), and let's say I buy the Nokia 6301 on eBay or something. I put my sim card in the nokia, connect it to my router and ill be able to make unlimited calls to any were? .......or I'm totally of?

    some one please reply

  • thats what im confused about too.

  • you need to have a postpaid plan, and sign up for the unlimited hotspot at home calling for $9.99 a month to have unlimited calls on a wifi network. otherwise, the cell phone just uses the wifi network as a cell tower, in case you don't have good cell reception at home.

  • ok, i'm confused, i'm thinking about getting a T-Mobile to go prepaid phone, and i do have wireless internet at home (not wi-fi, password encrypted), so will it work w/ my phone without this HotSpot @ Home?

  • it needs to be wifi. and to be able to make unlimited calls on a wifi network, you need to sign up for the unlimited plan which is only available on postpaid calling plans.

  • These guys are not telling that we should buy Hotspot@home from t-mobile to use wifi network. I do not think it is free.

  • i have that phone and the wifi dont work for shit!!

  • i have this it works with any wifi router even some in diffrent countries

  • the Nokia works fine but if you get the samsung t409 then you will get an useless handset, DO NOT BUY THE SAMSUNG, it tookme tree months to get a Nokia from T-Mobile and finally they gaveme the nokis and now works fine; they told me also to get thier router and I did but I found out that you can use your existing wireless router(my was 2wire) but I got a phone that works.

  • They should allow this to work with your regular router in your house.

  • It does work with any wireless access point or router however t-mobile will try and convince you to buy their router claiming that it will work better. More likely than not, your router will work fine.

  • it does help (hate to admit it). what it does is make the phone signal priority while most routers let it diminish with signal strenth

  • he told me and my mom to stick together...he killed the cat and there were footprints on the toilet when he came out the bathroom. The last phine conversation we had he told me he hated to be interagated...guess who was miss ask alot of questions?

  • t mobile told me today that while outside the usa (europe, etc) on wifi using their sim card, calling back to usa is like calling within usa (deduct from plan minutes). Anybody knows otherwise ??

  • This is true, when calling on a Wifi network, you can make a call from anywhere in the world to the US and be charged the standard rate as if you were calling from the US.

  • if you're wifi...shouldn't it be free?

  • It works. Step into a starbucks and have the hotspots feature on your phone, you will not be charged roaming. You also wont be charged for you minutes bc the feature makes your hotspot minutes free.

  • wow, very good!!

  • I know this a stupid question but does this mean the call is free of charge if you call using the Wifi connection - it doesn't come out of your allowance?

  • As long as you have the Hotspot@home addon to the plan no minutes come out of your plan when on a wi-fi hotspot.

  • Also, in future, there will be support for 3G devices as well, meaning, we will be able to seamlessly switch over betweem GSM, Wi-Fi and 3G networks. Plus, there will a lot of cool new features which will serve the purpose of being a landline killer. Kudos to T-Mobile (and the vendors, Alcatel-Lucent, Nokia and Kineto Wireless) for making this happen. This is truly the first step taken towards changing the way we use mobile phones. I am sure this will be great.

  • Excellent review. One thing I would like to clarify is what was mentioned about the T-Zones functionality while connected over Wi-Fi. The reason it connects to the GPRS network is to make sure there is a seamless handover while on an active data session. Under the current implementation, you can have an active data session (eg; run a continuous download) and walk out of Wi-Fi coverage and your download will not be interrupted when you have moved over to the regular GSM network.

  • so...are they going to put it on nice phones...like maybe the next mobile 6 device? because I'm not going to by a crap phone just for this....hmmm

  • woah!! I hope a similar system goes up and running in Canada..if I was in the US I'd get this kind of service immediately!! way to go T Mobile!!

  • sorry we keep pulling and reposting this video. however previous version revealed some personal contact information that we chose to edit out. we promise this is the final version.

  • This is actually very cool. BTW, does the phone connect to 802.11g or 802.11b networks? Or both?? I ask because I have my router set to ONLY 802.11g (for faster speeds), so obviously 802.11b devices wont even see my network. Thanks for the review!

  • Very intresting... Not bad i guess.
