It is a comfortable ride! I didn't know much about it until a friend bought one. We trailered it to the Blue Ridge Parkway last year and spent two days riding. Very nice, smoothe ride and very comfortable seating...I haven't been this comfortable as a 'rider' (not driver) on any other bike. Trying to talk my friend into a sell. Of course, I'd have to grow about 3 inches or plan on wearing lifts. Height challenged here! Seriously, it's a geat bike!
@axelberry1@axelberry1 Those have minor oil leaks. My mechanic told me to keep the oil level low. Steering head bearings. I had bought one with a torn brake disk, cracks all around it. The exhaust, for it will rust and the back part of the frame. Inspect this also. Buy when the machine had not run. It drives bad for the first miles anyhow and this may reveal engine problems. Vacuum rubbers that control the gas-air flow may be damaged. Age is a problem. Electrics when overused or on long trips.
The Pacific Coast was a wonderful bike! i owned TWO of them between 1989 and 1993. I also had the full (taller) windscreen installed. You could smoke a cigarette with ease at 80 MPH on the freeway. I also used 2 different types of tires and found myself changing them before summer and before rainy season. Don't let the "scooter look" fool you. In the trunk you can easily carry 1/2 case of cans on ice, food and weekend clothing for 2 people; did it all the time!
@mypairrocco the left compartment is for storage & the right one give you access to the radiator overflow

mypairrocco - sorry don't remember if they were storage or access to engine parts.
kwaidonjin - nope it is a 5 speed.

What are those compartments on both side of the fairing, straight below the grips?

Thanks for all the response. I sold this bike not long after producing this video.
To answer kwaidonjin, it is NOT an automatic. It has a 5 speed transmission.
They are a beautiful motorcycle! I miss it and will probably own another one. The next one, I'll hang on to.

I just bought a bike like this last tue.
It is a better looking bike than the video shows.
I'm the 3dr owner with 3800 miles. I guess the other 2 owners just sat in the garage and look at it. LOL
Is there anything I should be aware of with this bike?
I've had 3 harleys and an aspencade before this over the last 40 years.
You have a real nice bike there, ENJOY.

I still have my 1989. From New! only 12,000 miles. A dream to ride. I coined the name: Moped on Steriods!
