  • Dang you are amazing with both characters! I'm learning a few Ippatsuman tricks off you but no way am I gonna be able to use polymar as well as you and the megacrash combos.

  • Thanks! Ippatsuman is probably the better of my team, but Polymar is more fun to play as. Most of my Ippatsuman tricks need Polymar to be effective. Be sure to be on the look out for my TvC:UAS videos once I get hold of the game!

  • I tried out UAS at an event but they toned Ippatsuman down quite a lot so then he can't do any resets but instead I think he can do more megacrash combos as the combo gauge stays up for longer.

The only thing I don't like about ippatsuman is following the sweep into the ground smash, sometimes I time it wrong and throw baseball instead.

  • Hey Royalflush in your opinion what makes an effective team and how do you go about creating one? what led you to make the polymar/ippatsuman combination? thanks in advance i'd like to know so how have an idea of what i want to make when UAS hits the US.

  • ^^Synergy is crucial when forming a two-character team. Consider an individual character's play style (rushdown, runaway, lockdown, turtling) then see how that character can work with another character. You should also think about the character's assist attack as those can make up for the point-character's weaknesses and/or extend combos. Polymar has a good ground mix-up and rushdown game, while Ippatsuman has a can play either can play it safe or rush.

  • Now look at Yatterman-1/Alex. Yatterman has very speedy jabs and can interrupt many offenses with ease, but doesn't take good damage. Alex is slower, but can take a lot more damage than Yatter-1 and his assist can help Yatterman-1's offense. With this team, one character makes up for the other character's weaknesses.

  • thanks for the advice i appreciate it. i want to be someone who is constantly offensive and pressuring my opponent. i was thinking something between casshan/batsu for more offense or tekkaman/chun li for a team that covers ecah others weaknesses. what do you think?

  • I like the sound of Tekkaman/Chun-li. Chun could probably get some nice combos with Tekkaman assist. Tekkaman can take a lot of damage, but the only mixup he really has is j.C (cross-up). Casshern/Battsu... Casshern still looks like a strong character all-around, but Batsu looks weakened in UAS... I hear Batsu does more damage (not sure if this is true or not), but his main specials got nerfed badly. Casshern goes along better with Roll, Frank West, Polymar, and Karas because of OTG attacks.

  • i see. well i've decided that my fist two teams will be tekkaman/ chun-li and casshern/frank west. thanls for the advice. hopefully if you pick up uas we can play a few matches

  • ippatsu/polymar aka team reset
