i am having trouble starting on discovery mod on the game. when i input advance settings into the mod manager the settings do not apply to the actual game.
Is there still the Eagle, Sabre, and the Titan VHFs in this mod? I've always liked the Sabre the most out of the three. Good maneuverability, a turret that can shoot forwards and back. Not as maneuverable as an Eagle, but can pack more punch with the turret in my opinion.
Shooting bounty hunters is the easiest way to get friendly with all pirate groups. Storyline is unchanged although not really recomended for single player great for online though.
How do I start working for the "bad" guys on this game? I wanna side with the Lane Hackers or Corsairs if possible. I have this mod installed, and so I was kinda wondering if there is an extended storyline because it deleted my old save file and I had to create a new game.
you have to buy bribes to improve your status with the lane hackers. the bribe is going to make you either more friendly with the lane hachers or more toward neutral. then you would have to find the base the lane hacker base is in the magellen system which can be accessed through the jumpgate in the bedlands of the manhattan system. if you have completed the game you would an easy time accessing the gates and the hidden lanes.
or u can kill the enemy of the faction u want to join... best tip is kill bounty hunters lolz it will improve ur status towards criminal organizations better, and also, if you want to join outcasts or corsairs ten dont kill either one of them(eg if u want to join outcasts then dont kill a corsair) since ur rep will not rise but go down both of them. If u want to join corsairs then kill red hessians or gmg for outcasts ;)

It's a German server, are there many people who speak english as well? I want to know if I'll be able to speak with most of them before I join it.

The main server is fully english...
Along with the other 2 official ones, UK and USA.

yeah all the usual fighters are still there although they are tweaked a bit and there is quite a few new ones. Partial to the Sabre myself though.

Setup at the time was 3 cerb turrets 1 outcast turret and 2 infernos (unused against npcs)quite energy hungry I've changed it since back to 2 cerbs.

Freelancer is great, Discovery makes it even better

freelancer is the shit .....have u played any other newer space sims that is as good as freelancer....i tried darkstar one ,.,.,.it's ok
but u ony get one ship that grows and well it sucks compaireed to freelancer

you know antoher good game thats related to freelancer is its prequel called starlancer
im sure you can find it somerwhere
