Not an ideal recording, but she plays the hell out of this. I have this solo, and for those who think otherwise, the scream is part of the piece. A "doolally" is like a private in the British military. The sequence leading through the scream represents them being pushed to their limit and beyond.

This piece is very difficult. I recommend setting aside serious time if you're considering performing it. With all the unaccompanied mixed odd meters, it can take weeks to get a single page right.

Wow, really great playing, but I'm not sure what the scream and laugh is all about. that interrupted an otherwise fine performance. The trombone playing, however, is really first rate. What kind of horn and mouthpiece do you use and how long have you been playing?

it's written in the part, bottom of the third page. the last instruction is "no drink seven pints"
