Between the 3, I'd recommend the Hollywood. I own the London and love it, but I play a completely different style than you. My buddy owns the Hollywood, and I think it would better suit your needs.
Is this capable of the getting the same live crsipy Van Halen brown sound circa 1981 like the Hot British? I mean, for an extra 30 bucks u can get one with a tube.
would this be a good choice for a class 5 boost, or are these pedals best used with a good clean channel like on a fender? Trying to figure out how to get good overdrive sounds at low volume.
I just got this pedal about half an hour ago. Sounds great over the cleans of my AC30. But I did notice it got a bit noisy when the drive is past 12 O'Clock and I had to push the level up quite a lot to keep it in unison with my clean sound.
After a little while I got some good tones out of it, so I can only imagine how good it's gonna sound with more experimentation =)
I doubt it. Usually, when a pedal has true bypass, the company or person reviewing it makes a point to mention it in the video or in the description. Pedal sounds good, though. Question for me would be whether to get this one or the Radial Hollywood Distortion Bones pedal.
is it just me or are the radials the best sounding distortions? i also like the new vox satch and the ibanez tube king some.... anyone wanna talk about pedals write me
hi..i wanna that your opinion..i have a hardwire cm-2 overrive..i wonder if you can suggest a good distortion beside it..im choosing between mxr dis 3 and the vox satch..so wat do you think.thanks
My wah is a Crybaby Classic, but the sound matched with Bones London is really horrible, I think becouse of the buffer.
Could you make a try, and tell me if a crybaby (or maybe it's the same for every wah) works better with a Plexitube? In this case I'll buy the Plexi (which got a regular true bypass switch).
More like lack of talent shows... all of those things sucked. There was never any talent, just a bunch of dildos who thought they were cool because they played butchered versions good (and not so good) songs.
i am in college now and i never did talent shows. because i am the type that believes if the performance suck why do it at all. all of them did suck in 6 grade - 12 grade, but it takes some balls to get on stage do shit so i always gave props.

I still think the Tech 21 British is the one of the best bang for buck plexi pedals out there.

Sounds amazing for a non tube pedal. Can this also get lower gains for Guns N Roses tones?

The cool thing about the 'kick' switch is that it actually boosts the low mids, which gives it extra growl instead of making it sound more nasal.
jb1563700 2 years ago
@ showsjohn. an amp with an attenuator is a great way to push a tube amp into overdrive with out the massive volume norm needed

get an amp with a power level control, then you can get the highgain sound at low volume.

I tried out this pedal at rudy's music shop in New York and the pedal is indeed the best pedal distortion out there!!!
It sounds the best with humbuckers (Gibson Les Paul Or SG Standard).

I love this pedal.
There is always something bad about a pedal.
The Vox satchurator is great, but it gets really harsh when you turn the tone up. Plus, if you turn it down, it gets to much low end.
MXR (MY FAVORITE COMPANY) Distortion + is awesome, but to fuzzy.
This pedal, the Radial London Bones, is awesome, and it is flawless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
